Korean Spa

Thinking about going to island spa around noon. Anyone else going to go?

I went to the Spa Castle in Queens and had some experiences to share.
I took UBER from Midtown to the spa which cost around $80. The spa building is quite big comparing to other places like Wi or Century. I got there around 3 pm. There was a line waiting to enter. Mostly were old or with children. The spa entry cost $60. Once I got in, there were shoes lockers. This area smell really bad from someone's never-wash-shoes. There was NO towel provided at all! I had to pay $10 for a small, thin, smelly towel. Then, I went inside and had a shower. There were some broken shower heads. It supposed to have shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner at each shower head. However, each shower head had one of these items. There was only 1 shower gel bottle for 6 shower heads. The steamroom was small. It's about half of the size at Wi. There were 5-6 people playing in the steamroom. All of them were old or out of shape. The sauna room was big but it's not easy to play. There were several hot tubs with different temperatures. However, I didn't got in any of them. There were less than 10 people total in the wet area.

I didn't check out other floors because I didn't have swimsuit or proper clothes to walk around. It's seem like a family relaxing area with a brunch of kids. People that went there seem to prepare these stuff. If you plan to come here, make sure to bring towel and shorts.

I spent here less than 30 min and left. I took UBER back to midtown which cost another $80. Overall, I won't go back at this place again. Other people might have a different experience, but this place is not for me.

I haven’t been to Spa Castle since covid. Before then it was much nicer. Plenty of free towels and they provided shorts and shirt for the coed areas.

Thinking of going to Spa Castle next Saturday for the first time since the pandemic. One thing that was holding me back is that they do not give out towels and uniforms anymore. Every other Korean spa gives them out now I believe. I like having the little towels going in and out of the steam room and helps for clean up.

Anyone know of any spots like this (straight, or at least co-ed) in San Diego area? I am going there on business in a few weeks and want to have some fun. Thank you in advance.

Not sure if you made it to San Diego yet but I’d love to hear how it went if you did.
If not, you simply MUST grace our local Black’s Beach with your presence when you come!

Hello. And thank you. I have been to Black's Beach many times. No success with the Korean spas, as I am not interested in men and it seems that all the Korean spas cater to gay men, and the massages are all done girl-girl and man-man. Not my thing. I'd love to find a place that was men and women interacting together. I know plenty of places for happy ending massages and more, but not in a spa setting as these Korean spas are described. Do you know of any hetero spas where one can have a good time?

I’m sorry, I don’t. Way back in the day (pre~AIDS epidemic) I’d heard there were heterosexual bath houses in San Francisco but I never went to any. Also heard of “swinger’s clubs” (Green Door?) in Vegas (with mixed reviews) but I’ve never been there either. Sorry .....

Yep. There are places around. I’ll actually be in Vegas this weekend and next week.
