Lou Ferrigno Jr.

I didn't realize this thread was here and just posted on the Oliver thread, but I do think it's possible that they meant to leave it more open or neutral as to whether we'd see Tommy again in the interviews, but they fucked up the execution by letting Lou talk to some deranged woman who tweeted before the interview that she hates "Tommy fans." She made it sound like he wasn't coming back, even though his actual quotes don't indicate that so firmly. All the interviews since then have been much more bait-y like "maybe we'll see Tommy again!"

Still, the way the breakup (and the awkward anniversary date) was written was abrupt and weird, and Tim has made some other mistakes this season, like basing the entire midseason finale around a side character who might've been emotionally abusive OR very cute and wise (???). So anyways, they may still drop the ball on this -- and I have no clue where Buck's storyline is going if Tommy doesn't go back, especially since Buddie seems to be completely dead due to Ryan -- but I do think there's a decent chance that we'll see Lou again in the second half of the season. We'll just have to see what happens.

Yeah, I'm hoping we'll see Lou again. I wouldn't bother posting over there about Tommy in the future since the Oliver thread is split between people who want him to get with Eddie (fat chance given Guzman's obvious issues) and those who want him back together with Tommy (the majority of whom I assume are also here).

It's not like it gets particularly ugly but I just don't bother inviting the argument.

To your point, Tim Minear has really lost whatever mojo he had left. What a disaster of a season this has turned out to be, and the PR around this show is worse than ever.

Yeah, I've been following the threads for a while now, and in the last few months, a couple users have shown up in the Oliver and Ryan threads insisting, against all logic, that Buddie is going to happen. I'm assuming a handful have come here directly from Twitter, since they seem to parrot their delusional talking points.

I honestly don't have high hopes of them getting back together. I think Tim Minear and Oliver got caught up in all the attention and online publicity the relationship brought to the show that Tim decided to extend Tommy's welcome beyond the initial 4 episodes Lou was contracted. But then he started writing Season 8 and didn't know what to do with them, because for him "characters can't change" and he views Buck's core characteristic and a former playboy who's constantly looking for love, so he can't have him in a stable relationship for long, because in his outdated mind that would mean Buck would "change too much" and it would harm the show.
I'm pretty sure unless Tim goes full time to the spin-off and someone with a different minsdet takes over, Buck will continue cycling through relationships until the show is cancelled and they settle him with whoever is avaliable, like they did in Season 6 with Natalia.

yeah at this point, I'm basically crossing my fingers that Tim leaves for the spin-off. It seems like he's putting all his energy in that right now anyways, because season 8 has been totally discombobulated. I believe the spin-off is currently being written by Ryan Murphy, Tim, and Rashad Raisani, and Ryan usually only works on the first season of new shows, leaving just Tim and Rashad for the spin-off. So then it'd just be down to who would be showrunner for 911... personally, I'd like to have someone besides Kristen Reidel try to take on the role, since I wasn't a huge fan of s5 and s6 either. (Overall, I don't know why Tim's work dropped off so much from s1-s4 to s8.)

You know he's just huge. I really want to see it.
He's 6′ 2″ , you bet your ass that dick is huge enough to rearrange my intestines and play with them like a clown making balloon animals.

Based on past interviews, it seems like Tim got bored of the OG because of the constant network oversight. He's said he preferred being on Lone Star because "there were less eyes on it". I think he came back in S7 because of all the promises of a new network, but it seems like he got bored again when a potential new toy showed up.
If he still stays on OG in Season 9, I probably won't even watch it.
