There seems to be a lot of jealousy on this thread. Matt is a very funny comedian and he happens to be a beyond gorgeous man, life is not fair! You don’t have to tear this man apart personally and attack his professional craft because you are butt hurt that maybe quite a few people find you to have below average looks and a sleep inducing personality. This lashing out at him because of your own perceived inadequacies is the worst look of all. Just my opinion and observation . Funny is subjective but actual “hotness” is usually quite apparent

I don't disagree with your sentiment here. I guess part of me is jealous of his good looks and perceived confidence. However, the more I learn about him the more he seems so contrived and pandering. His comedy is basically like watching a hot waiter flirt with your grandma at the cheesecake factory. It's really cringey cuz there are no jokes. I agree! His jokes don’t hit but once he gets the audience involved it’s more interesting and funny! And he is fine asf

This makes sense because his humor is observational/improv reactions. He has done scripted humor but he mostly learned his style doing comeback/insult/reading routines on WildNOut. You can have some generic insults waiting but to be successful you need a quick wit and the ability to find a something in the target to rip on without crossing the line into just being hateful. It’s an art and I think he’s pretty good at selecting audience members he can dunk on or joke with.

I hate to break it to you but WildNOut is entirely scripted. It's always been pretty obvious but even Matt himself has said so.

Well non woke comedy means no holds barred. Getting a backlash from saying that shows the fascistic tendencies of the far left. The far right is exactly the same. Thankfully most people live somewhere in between. Jennifer Aniston was completely right. Comedy has died. A small vocal minority has ruined everybody's fun. You can't say anything without offending some dainty flower's fragile feelings... because anything offensive someone says must be personally taken by you and you must make it your personal mission to annihilate them completely if it's the last thing you do... until you wake up the next day to look for the next thing to be offended by... I mean it's not a Monday if you can't make some poor schmuck lose their everything.

And no, I'm not saying it's okay to say just anything that pops into your mind (of course there are consequences), but the purpose of comedy is to make light of all kinds of issues, even difficult ones. If you can't laugh at how silly you are, you might be one of those off with their heads people.
