So I’ve wanted this for a while. And probably will get it in the next few weeks.

Advice appreciated on:

- sensation still the same. Playing with my nips gets me rock hard, I’m not expecting any change

- pain? Bad, or just suck it up. I’m kinda ok with pain and do like my nips being bitten

- practical point, I swim daily - how long before pool time?

Thanks for any advice, much appreciated

Had mine done thirty years ago , and it's the rush of a adrenalin , at first they will clean the area and then mark it and ask if you like the height and so on, then they will clamp the nipple with the forceps and then depends on who's doing it to take your mind off of it ,but had me count and then pushed the needle thru and the ring or bar is already attached. So then they will unclasped and secure it with a ball. As for discomfort wear a t shirt for a few days, don't let anyone suck or lick on your nipples for a few weeks. And keep it cleaned. Then since your nipples are already wired your in for some fun. People will be able to pull and twist once your healed. Also no hot tubs or beaches. Just saying it's kind of an open wound. Had both nipples done belly botton and prince Albert.

Mine are dead, and had thought long and hard about getting mine done to see if it will bring them back to life? Everything I have read states 6 months healing, NO pool or swimming, so my thought was to have them done last fall when pool season was over were I would be ready this spring. Nope not had them done yet, sat yesterday thinking I needed to make an appointment last night and pull the trigger. My worry is how many days til they settle down, how will they be pain wise and any discharge during the day at work? I too am pretty good with pain, had a PA 15 years ago with no issues, but I think this time I am going to need a couple of drinks before my visit lol I know one is getting done no question, the other might have to wait a few weeks LMAO

Another thing is, what if you want big gage jewelry? Do the holes need to be bigger during the piercing? I know my PA was stretched over time from the original 12 gage to a 00 gage, which caused a lot of grief with migration and knowing there's not much to work with in the nipple area it just makes me wonder? I see pics of men with massive rings and bars and it all makes me wonder, last thing I want id my nips looking like they are so weighted down they hang and point south lol

The piercing is done behind the nipple, I used to do mine before going to the bar with just a needle and put an ear ring in it, and with in a few weeks it would fall off. Because I always pierced through the nipple which gets which rubs and wears away. Now Usually it only take two weeks for then to heal up, that's if you take care of it with cleaning and such. A PA is different as your always pissing and so it cleans the piercing everytime. But an average is two weeks and they are pretty good. Now would I go into the ocean nope salt water is cleaning also but with all the stuff dumped into the oceans now I'd not take a chance. And as for gage yes like a pa you can expand your piercing band being behind the nipple yes they will hang, just depends on you and what you find appealing about the look. I never went up in gage size and then the older I got,as I worked as a store manager and through a white shirt you can pretty much see them. But when I got older as in 60's I took them out and they closed up just fine. This is haveing them done since I was 20. Had both nipples belly button and a PA. And couldn't tell now unless I told you. Can an opening be repaired yes by a trained dermatologist or plastic surgeon. They cut the opening and then bring it together and sew it up . Looks fantastic as ive had friends do it for their ears of which were very large gage openings. Hope this helps.

Hey! Did you end up getting your nips pierced or still considering it? I'm also on the fence of getting mine done and also have some thoughts about it. My nips are pretty sensitive already and I like to play with them, so don't want to lose the sensitivity.

I haven't had it done yet. I want it as a tribute to my late husband who passed away recently. And maybe his wedding ring made into the bar.

I'm going to go into my piercers and ask questions. And also follow this thread more! Lots of great info, thanks for everyone for sharing.

Appreciate your reply, I'm just catching up thank you. The healing is what worries me as a daily swimmer. I'm going to ask my local piercing shop for their advice. Someone mentioned 3 months and I can't be out of the water for that long.

Again, thank you.

You can buy bandais that’s mad for keeping water out of the area .. if hairy just shave around the entire tit not just the nipple .. and put it on the skin around the tit area .. good ones will stay on for hours in water

Are you saying Band Aids? If so, how's one strip going to keep water off your nips? I am not sure two could on mine, I ask because although not a daily swimmer, in my pool several times a week, and have drug my ass all winter getting my nips done.
