Not open showers, but you can see who’s next to you. The sauna makes up for it.

After my Oasis visit, I have to say I got surprise how open are the showers in the middle of the lockeroom! But, unfortunately I could just view two old men when I entered, then one young guy and when it was my showers turn there was empty, only me and a friend. I think it is only used by the swimmers and not for the gym guys, perhaps it was because the time, 6-8pm on Wednesday isnt a peak hour.

In case you didn't know, there's another changing room and showers for the Oasis Centre that is much closer to the gym. It's smaller and only has a few shower cubicles. I've never used it because I like to have a swim after the gym and open showers are more fun anyway. I have seen guys who only use the gym use the open showers by the pool who are not having a swim, so can only assume they prefer the open showers as well.

Oasis was OK, felt the showers were mainly guys cruising, though I did see a couple good sites.

I preferred Porchester Centre. One locker room/ooen showers for both gym and pool. Some really good looking straight guys in the showers showing everything. I was discrete but enjoyed the shows!!

Has anyone tried New Docklands spa? Is it advisable to go on Saturdays?

I've not been to the New Docklands Spa but know a few guys that have. The owner, apparently is very homophobic and will throw you out quite loudly if you even look at someone the wrong way. That said, you can be nude there and guys trade massages with each other and there is some chance of a furtive fondle or wank but don't go expecting blatant and obvious fun. Sunday is meant to be the most 'gay' there in terms of the clientele. There are some reviews/comments about on the squirt.org site

Review of my experience in NEw Docklands Spa.

It is a bit seedy and underground eastern-european steam baths. Definetely, the best place to learn Russian. I think it deserves a visit to discover. Guys were 40% naked and rest on swimwear or underwear (almost everyone ends naked in the showers), eastern and black guys. The places is very authentic, not the very clean after all day. I recommend to bring you own towel.

Good points: authentic eatern steam baths and sauna with herbal oil, plants smashing you in the sauna. Quite level of nudity. Cheap price:16

Bad points: the location is bad, cleanliness, very straight (you shouldn't even stare other guys, no boners showing also).

I know this post is about open showers and these are not 'open' but these showers in Fitness First Strand (Bedford St, Covent Garden to be precise) look like they're transparent and provide more opportunity for actual showing off than open showers do. What do you think? And I think this is the sauna where a lot of action takes place...

Best days, wednesday, thursday, saturday and even sunday, a lot of fit guys fully naked, some action in the steam room and a lot of straights guys with semi or gettinf hard.
