I don't know why you specified gay (although I suspect why) because all kinds of porn can take that long to make...But it seems to be rare. A lot of scenes are filmed in 2-3 hours, I know scenes that took only 45 min to make (clock in the corner).

I almost feel sorry for the gay performers, but they should have know better, collaborating with guys like Alfie. overall it was a struggle to watch. I can't believe they felt this confident to release such disorganized,messy scene.
