Lahore Fort, Pakistan
Shots taken Oct 2018 by me
The first fort on this site was destroyed by the Mongols in 1241. The second incarnation was destroyed by invading Timur forces in 1421. The current construction has been standing since the 1430s and has been under control of Pashtun sultans and later by Mughal Emporers. It occupies an area of 21 hectares near the walled city of Lahore.
The sexy guard pictured below on the right let me hold his spear. I got weak at the knees. The wide steps were designed for elephants to climb into the Fort.
