Saving Ecosystems to Protect the Climate, and Vice Versa: a Global Deal for Nature

This is the grace only we can bestow
This is the price you pay for loss of control
This is the break in the bend
This is the closest of calls
This is the reason you're alone
This is the rise and the fall

I had the mad idea this morning to buy another horse.

Nutso, nutso idea.

* note to self - tell NP the new meds are recklessness in liquid form with no (extra) vodka needed........I'm sure she'll be charmed...right*

No, I didn't buy a horse...yet, but the day is still young.
I need to brush up on my German if I'm going to buy a horse.

I engaged in no horse buying activities today.

P.S.I doesn’t have their next auction until December.

This Christmas, I shall have pudding...

...and turkey - with all the tribbings!

I would have thought you would have gone with prawns, cold ham and salads.
I know that in my neck of the woods at least, it's too fucking hot.
Also every Christmas except last we've been under a cyclone advisory.
Stocking up on jerry cans of fuel, checking gen-sets, filling gas bottles, storing lawn furniture, securing animals.
The local pub does a roaring trade with lines around the block to stock up for first cyclone party
of the wet season.
After all, if the power is going to go out for a extended period of time it's best to have a massive bbq to reduce the
freezer contents and invite a few mates.
Only southerners go to the grocery store to buy bread and milk when they won't have the electricity to keep them fresh.
