Just curious if there was a clearly defined "split" between the older originals of 2SCM, and the later group of twinks. I'm not all that knowledgeable about the site, but I do remember many of the first group like Rocky, Ashton, Broderick (sigh!), Dean, etc. Then, it seemed like it was all kids. Was this a deliberate move, or did it just evolve that way?

I think there was no deliberate move, but an opportunity presented itself when the younger group responded to the sites ads. I assume the first series with them went over very well and he leaned into it.

It was easier than ever to see what individual scenes from various studios where popular and the market was saturated with sites like SCM's "auditions" that would simply pay men to jerk off together on a couch for cash. So there was a point when the SCM owner adapted to modern technology and filming styles. People were actually watching porn on mobile platforms like Blackberry, Windows Mobile and the newly released iPhone. Tablets were becoming a thing. They even sold DVD's (though not very successfully) when DVD printing costs dropped. Forums like this one were sharing HD screenshots, Clips and full videos.

The owner of SCM struck gold with sexy, cash-motivated and extremely naive guys like Rhett and others. But social media was also taking off faster than anything and all it took was for one person to recognize a model before their porn name becomes associated with their real life identity. So ultimately lots of natural shifts, deliberate moves and inevitable collapse.

Admittedly I have no attachment to the older group of SCM guys. I only became aware of the site because of Rhett's group, and there are only a few SCM models who weren't part of Rhett's "generation" that I like.
