It's awful but Amazon has no problem wasting money on subpar content. Citadel is their second most expensive show after Rings of Power, which was also crap. Amazon ain't cancelling either of these shows without a second season.
Sadly I don’t see Richard being the next 007 if Citadel continues. It’s too similar in genre and too recent. Rings of power is crap though.
He's 100% not getting 007. He's had too many recent stinkers that honestly leave a lot to be desired with his acting. Tbh he seems to really struggle with chemistry for his female leads. At least I feel that's been the problem with the Eternals and Citadel.
It would be interesting to see what would happen if he was to come out. Hollywood seems to be pushing diversity and queerness but 007 would be quite a risk with a huge majority of fans being straight males.

I don't think 007 is in the cards for him, but I also don't think it would suit him and the spotlight and scrutiny from it wouldn't be good for him either.
It feels like a show written by AI and feels so generic and lifeless but as long as it performs well, Amazon wont care.
