I don't think Shaw came to Sean Cody as a power bottom. Shaw didn't bottom until his 5th movie which was a flip with Tanner. From then he mostly bottom, but he did top and flip a few more times. I think you both make good points. As sfca9 says, Shaw learned to enjoy bottoming. A number of proclaimed straight models in the past have stated they bottomed because it was easier, less pressure on them, and I can understand that especially with cameras taping and a time crunch.
