His LOTR reactions were fantastic and so genuine...
But since he discovered Marvel, his channel has been on a downward spiral in terms of quality. All he reacts to now are superhero films, lame TV shows and shitty 90s rom coms. No proper cinema any more. And his reactions have run out of steam — his commentary has no substance to it any more. 90% of his comments are innuendo, "aye yo" and Chris fucking Evans, even in films that have fuck all to do with him. No references to the actual direction or production aspects...

I also think it's ridiculous that he refuses to discuss his sexuality when it's HIM who fills his videos with sexual comments, then complains when people show an interest in wanting to know how he defines himself. In his Incredibles reaction, he seems to be making a conscious effort to let people know that he's attracted to women. I used to genuinely believe he was into guys, but I do now wonder if he's queerbating for views.

I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and feelings about Seb and his reaction videos.

I don't remember which of Seb's reactions I saw first. It was probably Star Wars, then LOTR, then whatever else he had up on his channel at the time. I think I discovered his channel shortly before or shortly after he began reacting to Marvel movies. In terms of the quality of his commentary, I honestly don't remember what his channel was like before he started reacting to Marvel movies. I'd have to rewatch some of those old reactions to see the difference. I like Marvel and superhero movies and I like watching reactions to them, so I've no complaints about his inclusion of such content on his channel. I did notice when he began using more innuendo and I'll admit that I thought it was funny and entertaining, and set him apart from other reactors. When used sparingly, the innuendo added a little "seasoning" to his videos and gave them a little extra sexy/funny quality that other reaction videos didn't have. Being gay, I especially liked any innuendos about gay and/or male sexuality, which started occurring frequently enough that I began to wonder if Seb was gay. Eventually I concluded that he was gay/bi/pan (or otherwise non-hetero), which was another "plus" for his channel for me. (I explained why I thought he was gay--and not queerbaiting--in some earlier posts in this thread, but I'll admit that I now have doubts.)

Sadly, over the past few months Seb has gone way beyond the occasional sexy innuendo and the extreme (and often inappropriate) overuse of "ay yo" is extremely cringy. Seb himself seems to recognize his overuse of "ay yo"--sometimes he'll start to say it but then stop himself because it's not really an "ay yo" moment.

I've also noticed that in his recent reactions he seems to be making an effort to show some attraction to women, but it seems a bit forced. At the same time, in his reaction to The Incredibles, he showed some interest in fashion and interior design which brought to mind gay stereotypes.

I also think its ridiculous that he seems bothered by people's curiosity about his sexuality when he fills his videos with it. In his reaction to The Incredibles, when Mr. Incredible ejects Buddy from the car, he says "That would be Chris Evans if he met me-- [he'd] kick me out--I'd be way too much." It's not the first time he's acknowledged that his interest in Chris Evans is "too much" and that if they ever met Chris would probably think he's weird and not want anything to do with him. Yet Seb seems to have the same low regard for his fans that he expects Chris to have for him. You'd think he might be a little more understanding.

Okay now that everyone is speaking out for some reason, let me tell you that I remember his beginnings and he was extremely different at that time. Like literally the opposite of who he is now. He was kind, cute, friendly etc. He was so pure in a way lol. He even looked way better no shade. I think livestreams totally boosted his ego, I remember seeing the process of him becoming that way tbh. I don't even watch him anymore, I stopped like really long time ago because of his behavior, I only get notification from this threads sometimes, it looks like he became even more annoying now that everyone is shading him lol.
This is the Seb I liked
I think him starting out more shy and "precious" is just literally how most people start on Youtube. I've seen a LOT of people get big and over time, that does boost their self confidence which might lead to them "changing". Sometimes, however, they go overboard. I'm not that surprised. I still find him entertaining even though if you take out Chris Evans and Ayo from his vocabulary, there's barely anything left anymore lol. The fact is that he's making bank on Patreon and so I just accept the fact that that's who he is now and I'm fine with it.

I was also a big fan of Seb's channel and subscribed to his Patreon. His livestreams were a lot of fun, and there was a lot of interaction from him, inside jokes etc. I was (actually, still am) part of a groupchat with other subscribers and we invited Seb to be part of it during one of the livestreams, which he accepted.
We had a lot of great banter and even a few deeper chats with him over several months. He was surprisingly vulnerable and told us a few personal things. He told us his full name when few others knew it. He shared selfies. He got to know us. During the subsequent livestreams we would chat privately at the same time and it was all very fun and felt like an "insider's club" of sorts.
I will say, he never defined his sexuality in any clear terms but insinuated that he preferred to remain "unlabelled" which we all supported, telling him he should not feel obliged to label himself purely to satisfy the curiosity of others. He often expressed physical attraction to male celebrities including, of course, Chris Evans, which has become the biggest running gag of his content.
An ex-girlfriend of Seb's contacted the groupchat and shared some screenshots of arguments with him to try and warn us off him, however i admit that myself and the others were too wrapped up in our friendship with him at that point to take it seriously, despite the behaviour he displayed in these screenshots being a major red flag. We all agreed that relationships are messy and it was none of our business anyway. We forgot about it and moved on.
There was, and still is, a lot of commenting and speculation around his sexuality, and i suspect this is one of the reasons he no longer really does livestreams. Also, some may remember he discovered LPSG after googling his name during a stream and was visibly, somewhat understandably, upset over the posts about him. He seemed to take the queerbaiting accusations as a real blow, and was uncomfortable with some of the attention. We reassured him he shouldn't take it too much to heart, although i think this is when he started putting his guard up and interacted less and less on social media.
Around the time of his Dubai holiday last year, something seemed to change in him and he stopped communicating with the groupchat quite suddenly. He effectively ghosted us for weeks and then abruptly left that chat with no explanation. In one of his Patreon posts he stated he no longer wanted to pay attention to too many "opinions" or be influenced too much by social media. It seemed a bit of an odd left-turn after him being so open and interacting so much.
Eventually, myself and the others took the rose tinted glasses off and realised he'd actually acted pretty terribly towards us after initiating what seemed to be genuine friendship and even suggesting meet-ups, to then cutting off all contact. We also started to see how overly confident (and kind of annoying) he had become, and his content also seemed to be getting worse. As others have said, the reaction videos have become an excuse for him to shout "ayoo" and mention Chris Evans at every opportunity, and he does seem to play into queer men's attraction to him for monetary gain (for example, keeping a lot of LGBT content as Patreon exclusives).
Anyway, we all unsubbed from his YT and Patreon. Looking back, i think we were very much blinkered by our fascination with him for some time, and while i don't think he's the worst person in the world, i do think he's somewhat immature and has personal issues he needs to work on, not least of which being the way he treats other people.
Regardless, i made some great friends out of the situation and we met up irl and had a great time, so all good ✌️
Also, if you're reading this, hello Seb lol.

I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and experiences. I hope you keep any confidential information Seb shared with you confidential (e.g., his full name).

I also want to acknowledge that it's not easy for anyone to take criticism, which is why many celebrities don't read about themselves online or engage in much social media (or have to retreat from social media when the hate gets to intense). Also, I imagine that engaging with a fan community can become overwhelming, especially as that fan base grows. I can't fault Seb for disengaging if that's what he has to do for his own mental health and well-being.

On the other hand, anyone who produces a product should expect that product to be critiqued and reviewed, and you'll never make a product that pleases everyone. Some people will love it, but others will hate it. As the product changes, some of the people who initially loved it won't like the changes and will grow to hate it. Unfortunately for Seb and other social media personalities, to some degree they themselves are the product, not just the content they produce, so they should expect criticism. Some of the criticism will be unreasonable and unfair, and some of it will be based on speculation and suspicion. For example, we don't know that Seb is queerbaiting, but he might be, and its natural for us to wonder about it. Seb may not like it, but it's him own damn fault for putting his sexuality out there in his videos (possibly faking it), then being coy about it. Some will say that he's not under any obligation to us to share his sexuality or to label himself, and that's true. But under the circumstances it's not unreasonable for his viewers to start wondering if he's a phony, in more ways than one, and to not feel very good about the possibility that he's been playing us.

To some degree, I think all reactors are phony. They are performing for our entertainment. As their channels grow, they figure out what works and what doesn't, what attract viewers, and they refine their act. In Seb's case, using innuendo and presenting himself as attracted to men seems to have worked well for him, but maybe it's starting to backfire.

I actually don't entirely mind the phoniness of reaction videos. Of course I would prefer genuine reactions--if the genuine reaction is to ooh and ahh at all the moments I think people should be oohing and ahhing about. But that's not very realistic, is it? I get that most reactors are performing for our entertainment, and I like the way some reactors entertain us. But I for me there's a line I don't want them to cross. For one, I don't want the reactions to be exaggerated or over-the-top, because that just makes the phoniness obvious. More importantly, I don't want reactors to be phony about who they are. It's one thing to deliberately over-react to a moment in a movie, it's quite another to pretend to be attracted to guys in order to secure and hold the interest of gay viewers and build your brand on it.

I think I've been watching Seb long enough to have a good sense about when he's faking his reactions and when he's not:

Fake reaction:

Genuine reaction:

For the most of the Infinity War deaths, Seb keeps up a loud running commentary, but when Spider-Man begins with the "I don't want to go" he gets quiet and the moment seems to have a real impact.

And that's all I have to say.

yous are right it is a shame but he is straight none of this "hes bi - benefit of the doubt" blah blah blah he just knows 99% of his fan base are gay/bi men if u dont like the queerbaiting thing then leave him cos thats exactly what hes doing, but this thread isnt a debate this is just meant to be for hot photos etc

Adding to this thread lol, i recently unsubbed form hi yt (and Patreon) a long time ago not only bc his personality shifted entirely, but also because this "new" personality brought in people who are the exact opposite of his og fans. Ever since he started watching marvel content it slowly brought the ince!s of the fandom and his comment section just became so toxic. His new fans/subs seem to be the exact opposite of his og subs which are majority women and queer people. He's become a gym bro dude and now majority of his subs are too.

I don’t understand the fascination with watching people react to things. Why not just watch the movie yourself and have your own reaction?
It has to do with the shared experience of the reaction between you and another person. We want to see if others react the same way we did to things.

Not seen his videos in a while but now he popped up in Recommended.

He comments that "Let us tackle him singlehandedly!" sounds a lot like some of his comments (I'm assuming everyone has seen Holy Grail so no need to elaborate). (14:11)

The full part as he plays very innocent and not at all interested in the naughty nature of the scene.

However he seems a bit interested in the "Spanking" part a bit later (13:43)

I think there's a joke about him enjoying someone nibbling his bum at some point as well but can't remember where and can't find it on a re-watch..

He blatantly said he only watched the 1st season of Stranger Things. All of a sudden, he was watching Season 4 for the clout. Phony ass. When I came to his comment to mention that, people jumped at me to defend that he "watched" season 2 or something. Weird.

This checks out. I remember watching his Season 4 reaction and I don't recall now what it was, but he made a comment about not understanding something, that was really obvious.... and I remember thinking how does he not know that? Would make sense if he skipped a couple seasons. Season 4 of Stranger Things really pulled a lot from the first three seasons, and if you didn't watch those you're gonna have some confusion about what is happening, and you're bound to miss important details that the rest of us will get.

watched season 1 when it came out watched a season 2 recap video watched 4x01 and realised he didnt understand anything watched season 3, only reason he started was cos joseph quinn hype

If that's true, it would make more sense to react to it from season 1 lol (or whatever it is that he hadn't watched). It seems weird for somebody to do that. It's not like he caught onto the hype since it came out a few months ago already
