Senate Staffer Caught Filming Gay Sex Tape In Senate Hearing Room

"Despite the questionable posts, few within Senator Cardin’s office felt there was much they could do about Maese-Czeropski’s social media activity, with Lynch telling one staffer that the posts were “made on a personal account” and that the office “didn’t want to come across as impeding on the personal expression of an openly-gay staffer,” the source said."

I would've been like, "look bitch, I know as a millennial I'm ANCIENT in your eyes, but if you want a real career in politics, you need to keep private things private."

I wonder what Gen Z thinks about this situation and how many alts have been deleted in the last week.

Remember also just because he is 24 years old doesnt mean he is at the maturity as well.
Everyone 'grows up' at different stages and thats perfectly a normal factor in life.

Did he do something natural?? yes
Did he do it in the wrong place and boast about it?? YES.
Thats the problem here and he got caught out.

Im sure in the work place things like this happen all the time we just never get to see or hear about it.

Not saying its right to do but it does happen and we have to face reality i guess??

Exactly this yep!

What annoys me more than anything about the gay male space is how whenever gay guy usually a white gay guy like the staffer gets caught doing wrong, folks in that space want to save them from the consequences and reality of their actions. Stop doing that shit. You see what that leads to.

And sadly, he isnt the ONLY gay guy that ive seen moving THAT reckless out here. I feel like this is only a wake up call for folks in the gay male space to check themselves and their peers.

He's just young and stupidly naive, I think. I don't think there's anything more to it than that. Like a lot of people, he lived his life online; got positive reinforcement for his sexcapades; and was overly trusting of other people in his online groups, thinking this latest risk-taking sex location would impress his small group and the clip would go no further. That's my take on it. I don't think there's anything going on that's deeper than that.

Honestly, do we forget we're all posing this on a site devoted to sex and the penis? There's a lot of a stuff people put up on this very site about themselves that I think is pretty risky and overly trusting. But that's how people are.
I half agree. You're right we are on a site devoted to some sketchy stuff. I think most people here try to be as respectful as the platform requires, but it IS risky in and of itself and its clear humans take these kinds of risks all the time. But I do think accountability is what's best for this kid's future. The worst outcome will be for him to walk away from this thinking it went wrong just becasue someone shared his private video.

As you say, "he lived his life online." He grew up in a world of social media. A world where revenge porn is a problem in middle schools. A world of cancel culture and people being "put on blast." He was not naive. He was horny and entitled and what he did was blatantly disrespectful. At some point we gotta stop telling young people any- and everything they do is fine because it's all a part of growing up. THIS was not a normal part of growing up.

Worth posting the link, as there's a lot of interesting stuff there:
Exclusive: Staffer who made sex tape in Senate office building received promotion, warning in November

I completely agree with everything you wrote, so if you only "half agree" with my own post, it must be a function of my own poor wording. I'm 100% for this guy needing to take responsibility.

see, this is what i was talking about how the whole "indoctrination" of the acceptance within the gay space, what folks learn on how to live "the lifestyle" aspects of gay culture and this social engineering shit is actually determintial to gay folks. Staffer is a prime example. Folks better start questioning what they are subscribing too. Might be some cia type of trickery

Totally. I only disagree with labeling his behavior naive and calling it a result of environmental factors (positive reinforcement, small groups, etc.). This guy knew what he was doing. He knew it was problematic on several levels (as the latest coverage finally reveals) and he didn't care. In fact, that probably made it more exciting to him. There's a mental health issue here that he needs help with. Coddling him like his employer apparently did is only going to lead to another problem for him in the future.

The only person I feel sorry for in this situation is Sen. Cardin. He's an elder statesman who's tried his best to be equitable and to keep up with the rapidly evolving social standard in the US and he's going to get burned for it because a selfish, horny twink and some German couldn't be bothered to respect that.

I do think he knew what he was doing was wrong (how could he not?), but also that he was naive about trusting whomever he was sending that too. Being extremely sexualized and getting that expectation reinforced by peers does lead to a cycle of behavior, in my opinion, which compounds everything and makes things worse.

you seem too defensive of that dummy. Got something in common with him?

Reason why im speaking on this is unfortunately ive seen more than enough gay men moving like him in the world. It HAS to be addressed. Look at the guys who andrew gilliam got caught with. The guy was a prostitute that was also working as a nurse, plastering all sorts of porn and sex about himself. How many professionals within the gay space literally putting their sex lives out there alongside their professional lives?
It HAS to be addressed? Sure if you want. But why here? We’re here for nudes dude.

Why is there always someone in a thread like this who feels the need to police what other people say? If it's too serious for you, then just scroll past what you don't like or use the ignore feature. Clearly, "everyone" isn't here for the same reason you are.
