No, I think gaydar is a survival mechanism. It evolved as a way to help us find other partners in a very small dating pool and unsafe world.I disagree. A lot of gays use the excuse of having a gay radar to project dated and sad stereotypes onto people. You can't tell someone's sexuality by watching someone you don't know. it is not a thing, I'm sorry. Maybe it was 60 years ago when we had to hide our identity, when toxic masculinity was at its peak, when anything considered feminine or different meant gay, but it's not now. And no, I'm not talking about celebs here I'm talking about real life people you meet. Lost count of friends who claimed someone wasn't straight because of their bsradar just to be wrong big time lol.
I have had friends assume a guy was gay and he was certainly not. Likewise, i suspected guys were gay even though everyone believed they were straight and my suspicions turned out to be accurate.
