The only answer for me is “Try a Little Tenderness” by Otis Redding. These 3 minutes and 50 seconds cut deeper than any human with a black heart ever could. This song is just too strongly connected to the memories I have of my father, who played it in the car with me more times than you can imagine. He lost his war with drug addiction a few years ago, hopefully finally at peace. I feel he left these memories behind, with this song, for a reason, but I’ve yet to find it. Sorry I can’t bring myself to even look it up to post on here
