Freeball for me. I definitely cut the liners out. There is a bit of a danger with the trunks you cut the liner out of though. The legs tend to be more open I’ve found out.

There may or may not have been an instance where my balls worked there way out of a trunk leg at a very large theme park in the U.S. I was sitting at the edge of a pool and it was well over 90 degrees out. I don’t think I’ve ever seen my wife swim so fast to get over to me.

Also my balls have turned up in group pictures taken at the beech with friends if I’m sitting down. I’ve become much more self aware due to these instances haha

Wearing underwear with swimwear kind of defeats the point. Especially with speedos. As many have observed, underwear under swimwear/shorts never dries out properly, and swimwear is designed to dry fast. When I was younger and living in Australia, board shorts were my uniform in summer. If I was just wearing them as casual shorts, I’d usually wear briefs underneath. But if I were swimming in boarded, I’d take of the briefs. But it was perfectly acceptable to go commando in boardshorts even if just wearing them for daily life. They’re designed for it.

I would always say NO underwear, but, on vacation sunning I found my balls leaking out of my swim trunks in public! So the answer was to wear a bikini bottom under my trunks, that controlled the situation.

Swimming trunks under the wetsuit? I've tried the wetsuit on at home, and unless the cold water makes me shrink a lot, this big soft thing is going to be quite visible down my leg.

Personally, I rarely do if I'm surfing or fishing and yes, it shows. Trunks or briefs underneath make no real difference if the suit fits properly.

Might be a dumb question but I’m genuinely curious… do y’all wear underwear underneath your swim trunks? (And share your pics?).

My answer: I don’t wear underwear underneath but I’m getting a bit subconscious in my choice as I’m getting older... And for me, it doesn’t matter if they have a liner or not, to me, swim trunks just feel more comfortable when I’m free-ballin. Uncut and a grower here (5 when semi / around 7.5 when hard) so nothing fancy to show off by not wearing underwear with my trunks when I’m by the pool.

I always do, but I also wear a shirt too I am fat and not good looking so that is why. For other guys I would say it depends on where you are at. Most of the time I would say no for other people.

Since I've never seen anyone arrive already dressed in their wetsuit (how would you drive?), they've always had a swimsuit or t-shirt on underneath. Maybe if you're wearing one of those lightweight and flexible shorties that surfers wear you could go without anything else on, but I'd say you're better off wearing something underneath.

We have our campervan, so palava and public nudity are not an issue (although public nudity has never bothered either of us tbh).

I’ve just learned to embrace it. They might be looking at us and wishing they were bulging too! Or at least their significant other might be. They are getting a picture in their heads of what we are packing!
