Apparently being honest instead of blindly rooting for your fave twink means you have no say.

Tim is a gem, and a marvellous actor, but let’s not pretend Fiennes hasn’t put in the work for far longer and way more consistently. Frankly, Fiennes is long overdue an Oscar, it’s insulting.

Timmy should’ve won for CMBYN or Beautiful Boy. This biopic was a safe award pic, but is not the transformative work deserving an award, imo. Just my two cents.

Yes, agreed. Just watched it last night. He does a good job, and I enjoyed the film, but it’s hardly the greatest of his performances so far. He deserved it for CMBYN, but it had to go to Oldman doing Churchill drag as a lifetime achievement award. He has a good chance of taking it home tonight, but it would also make a lot of sense if it goes to Fiennes. He’s great in Conclave but it would similarly be more of a lifetime achievement award to fantastic actor who doesn’t have an Oscar yet.
