Timothée chalamet

Plenty of people can do a good impersonation. Tim-o-tee is not automatically worthy of an Oscar cause you think he's hot.

Absolutely. But it does help if in addition to being hot, you also get your dick out. So maybe there's a lesson to learn here for the next time. Though, it has to be big, if you wanna win an Oscar. 😂

The Oscars are given by dirty old men to dirty old men for being dirty old men. Adrien Brody already won the Oscar, what's the need to nominate him again? So that young guys like Timothee should lose? And Brody performance not necessarily has to be the best performance, it just the voters favourite. The more voters have favorite the more that person wins. Maybe they will give it to timothee when he play dirty old man in 60s
I am a Timothee fan but not a Bob Dylan fan so I won't be watching his movie. I'm sure a lot didn't care for it either. Good for Adrien for winning. He was great!

Well one thing's for sure, "Timmy" now needs a new plan to move forward if he is going to get that Oscar.

As has been noted, fart jokes on SNL are probably not the best way to campaign for an Oscar. He's also moving into his thirties, and soon there will be other twinks as competition. A new stylist is essential, in fact it is long overdue.

Edit: And drop the Kardashian connection.

The brutalist was plain bad and Adrian speech kept dragging
Glad im not the only one to think that! His was a challenging part, played well, but not great, and to me the movie stunk. I realize best actor isnt about the movie, but i didnt think the part, or the way it was played, was fantastic.

I was getting annoyed at Adrian speech and I was like would he get to the point. It was nearly 4 hours about nothing. Timothee or Ralph should have gotten it

Glad Timothée didn't win. If he ever wins one, I hope it's for a great character and not an impersonation in a super bland biopic.
he seems on track for a DiCaprio Oscar- several nominations before they decide he should have one by now- and it probably won't be for his best performance.

I think Timmy’s Sag speech turned ppl off. He should have kept his plans to be great to himself. There are many haters. Move in silence.

Not likely only bc I think the voting for oscars was already finished by the time SAG happened

yes- Oscar voting ended a week before SAG- they were supposed to be earlier, but they were delayed because of the fire.

Timothy Hutton impressed me for his acting as Conrad Jarret in ordinary people. A shame that his career didn't take off after that. I still think dat Timmy's performance in Call me by your name was his best up to date.
I loved that film: Judd Hirsch, Mary Tyler Moore, Donald Sutherland, Timothy Hutton, great performances. Timothy Hutton is now 64, has aged pretty well, was once married to actress Debra Winger (An Officer & A Gentleman) they divorced in 1990.

Seeing some new miserable people in here really makes me love the "ignore" button!

However, I really do not think Adrien gave the strongest performance this year, especially since it was "enhanced" with AI. While I wanted Timmy for the history, Ralph Fiennes finally winning would have been great for both his strong performance in Conclave and his collection of work.

BUT talking about long overdue Oscars, Glenn Close has Wake Up Dead Man coming out this year, and we gotta get campaigning for her ahahaha

There’s a very spoilery thing that happens to the Adrian Brody’s character in the movie that came out nowhere that basically assured him of winning the Oscar, it’s the same thing that won one of Jodie Foster’s Oscars for her.
