Barred owl. Very nice. Unfortunately, we don't get them where I live.
Be thankful you don't get them in your area as they are very aggressive to other owls and will kill them. We have them invading my area and harassing and killing our endangered Nothern spotted owl. Barred owls are not native to this area but invaded from the north and east. They are such a problem that drastic action has been floated to remedy the problem.
What a hoot! Such fowl drama! It was not my intention to ruffle feathers.
Just wish to ask here, what would people like to see of Australia, within a 1 hour radius drive.
I don't know if I posted these here. But during Covid, those few years ago.... there were a few Toadstools (Mushrooms) growing in the yard out the back. Reminded me of Alice looking out my home office window..... So I borrowed one of my loves little Fairy statues and placed her beside one....while taking the photo, a little Skipper Butterfly ( I know it was a Skipper because I once tagged Butterflies for the Australian Museum for migration...blah..blah)...it thought it would crash the Tea Party....I think it's some of the best photos I have taken.
Hope you enjoy them, they bring a smile to my face from those times....yeah...the couch needs mowing. It just seemed like she was waiting for one of her winged friends to drop in for a chat

A couple years back I looked out my kitchen window and discovered this little poo poo! Mom had stashed it there while she went and foraged. After she retrieved it that afternoon I put out water and a mineral lick. She stashed it there probably another half dozen times. Just precious
