Productive but tired. I baked a loaf of banana bread, a bacon/broccoli/cheddar frittata, there is chicken marinating with soy sauce (mirin, honey, garlic, ginger, etc) to grill, and a bit later some Japanese eggplant is going to get braised.

Feels good to be back home. It was cold but we had a lot of fun like we always do in Joshua Tree. It felt good to get away for a few days.

Sick. Went to the doctor this morning, and both the flu test and the strep test were negative.

Now, of course, my cough is trying to settle into my chest. If that happens, I’ll get checked for pneumonia.

NCbear (who is tired of all the temperature changes; today it was in the 40s, but tomorrow it’ll hit 70–Fahrenheit; I’d like it to be cold so the germs will all be killed)

Got checked, including a chest X-ray. Turned out to be a very strong sinus infection trying to cause pneumonia, so my doc gave me antibiotics and nasal spray.

And told me to take 2 days off work.

At a really busy time.

AIGHH.
