Worried.
My husband has been awake most of the last two nights—yes, Christmas Eve and Christmas—coughing like he’s about to die, and normal OTC remedies (prescribed by the doctor we saw late in the afternoon Christmas Eve) don’t stop the coughing. Also, his coughs are starting to settle deeper in his chest, which is alarming.
We’re going back to the doctor when his office opens in about an hour and a half. I really hope my man doesn’t develop bronchitis or pneumonia while we’re here with his family for the holidays, but the signs aren’t looking good: his father and sister have just had colds, and his sister-in-law has just lost her voice. Unusually rainy and cold weather is not helping.
So, being a worrier at the best of times, I’m restraining myself from calling Expedia and demanding a flight back to the US later today—especially since my husband admitted about an hour ago that he can’t travel in this condition.
