Days of rain here, tropical storm warnings, flood warnings, possible two feet of rain at the coast, etc, etc. Guess the mood.:expressionless:

I always live on high ground. Learned that at an early age. I also stay away from the coast. I was born there and loved it but it's too risky. Same for the mountains. Midlands are the best for me. But some things are very happy here with the weather. The mosquitoes are having a field day! But when I get a chance I'll get a pic of the elephant ears(Colocasia) outside. This is apparently their kind of weather. They look great and appear to have grown overnight. I think these may be the giant Thailand variety, where they grow 9 feet tall during monsoon season. Maybe they think they're back home!:) The weird storm went back out to sea but is supposed to make a 2nd landfall tomorrow and head north so I guess the D.C. to Boston corridor is in for a treat. But the West appears to be burning so I'll take the rain any time!:(

Here we go. Got a break in the weather but still a breeze and light rain before it picks back up.Elephant Ears 005.JPG
