apparently there will be a sex scene on e03? i hope it's his

so in conclusion, it's the same as all his other projects. his acting is praised but the actual project isn't good

Eh, it's a mixed bag - Daily Beast says he's a "bland presence," another calls it a "sedate performance". The issue seems to be no-one gives a good performance even though there are some good actors in the mix here.

Something's gone wrong somewhere in the execution - most likely due to writer/producer Akiva Goldsman who is really hit & miss.

Perhaps the harshest review over at Slashfilm also pointed out a recurring problem for Holland as this, plus the likes of "Cherry" and "The Devil All the Time" are "another unfortunate occasion in which the actor mistakes trauma for drama".

Basically in trying to get away from his exuberant Peter Parker-style sweet energy he's choosing these morose, dark roles to prove himself as an 'actor'.

Robert Pattinson did the same thing, it wasn't really until the fourth "Twilight" film when he hooked up with Cronenberg for "Cosmopolis" that he started getting good films like "The Lost City of Z," "Good Time" and "The Childhood of a Leader". Tom will get there, some time.

The Crowded Room seems to be getting panned by Critics. He hasn't had a big hit with the critics thus far in his career but at least he's trying. He could've just decided to become a commercial/bid budget actor like Ryan Reynolds or Chris Pratt. At least he's trying to put his acting muscles to work rather than being a big studio robot. I'm sure he's going to land it someday

Ryan Reynolds knows what he's good at though and if it ain't broke etc. He's making good money and he's actually getting some good films out. I've enjoyed a few of his Netflix outings.
