No, there have been complaints from the same people in regards to Scarlet Witch and Moon Knight. They've complained about it with potential casting on the Thing and Magneto as well, I'm sure Kitty Pryde will be the same. Yes, it is a very vocal minority, but they do exist. Technically there is no confirmation that Joe is playing Wiccan yet. I just think you're never going to be able to get all different aspects of a character (looks, age, race, ethnicity, acting, language, etc...). In the case of Wiccan casting someone that looks like the character, is the correct age, is the same sexuality, and is also the right ethnicity, plus also being able to act and not having a problematic online presence (which is a huge thing they have to consider when casting nowadays). This really isn't the thread for this, but just wanted to say, yes they've definitely spoken about that. I think it's more important that even if they cast someone of a different ethnicity, they make sure that is part of the character. Which they didn't do with Scarlet Witch and barley did in Moon Knight. I know that wouldn't address the issue with what people specifically had, but at least they're being more authentic to the original character.
