true. appletv shows aren't super popular because no one seems to have it, so you rarely see people talking/posting about the shows on there. you might see the horny stuff, like taron half naked and covered in milk, which looked like cum, but that's about it. no one really posts about the actual shows.
it's probably gonna be the hardcore tom fans watching it to see if there's any good/hot scenes to gif. but even those are probably more likely to pirate it

Ted Lasso gets a lot of chatter, but it's about the only one. With only the oddest exception, a TV series has to be either on Netflix, HBO on Sunday nights, or a Disney+ series with the words "Star Wars" or Marvel in it to get much attention.

I was thinking, in an alternate universe where Tom auditioned for Spider-Man but didn't get the part for whatever reason, since Marvel often likes to bring back actors who had a good audition for another role, I think they would've cast him as Wiccan.

Then we'd have Tom playing gay and bottoming for Hulkling, instead of that poor kid they ended up casting.

No. Wiccan's thing is that he's gay. And people would throw a fit if an actor who's not openly gay/bi played him. They're already throwing a fit that he might be getting played by joe, when they want a jewish actor to play him

I've not seen any of that regarding Joe playing Wiccan rather than a Jewish actor. Either I don't spend enough time on the internet to see this, or it's just a loud minority shouting for it who fail to realise the MCU isn't the comics. Besides, it's only rumoured at this point he's playing Wiccan because of fan casting.

And yet people didn't really complain about Elizabeth Olsen playing Scarlet Witch and Oscar Isaac playing Moon Knight. We all know the real reason they don't like Joe Locke's casting, but I'm going to be nice today and drop the subject.

No, there have been complaints from the same people in regards to Scarlet Witch and Moon Knight. They've complained about it with potential casting on the Thing and Magneto as well, I'm sure Kitty Pryde will be the same. Yes, it is a very vocal minority, but they do exist. Technically there is no confirmation that Joe is playing Wiccan yet. I just think you're never going to be able to get all different aspects of a character (looks, age, race, ethnicity, acting, language, etc...). In the case of Wiccan casting someone that looks like the character, is the correct age, is the same sexuality, and is also the right ethnicity, plus also being able to act and not having a problematic online presence (which is a huge thing they have to consider when casting nowadays). This really isn't the thread for this, but just wanted to say, yes they've definitely spoken about that. I think it's more important that even if they cast someone of a different ethnicity, they make sure that is part of the character. Which they didn't do with Scarlet Witch and barley did in Moon Knight. I know that wouldn't address the issue with what people specifically had, but at least they're being more authentic to the original character.

Which they didn't do with Scarlet Witch and barley did in Moon Knight. I know that wouldn't address the issue with what people specifically had, but at least they're being more authentic to the original character.

Actually, the character Oscar Isaac played in Moon Knight is white as hell in the comics, so there's no whitewashing to be had there. Nobody cared about casting an actor of color in that part nor should they. What they changed was adding an actual Middle Eastern love interest, which was appropriate given the source material.
