Tom is a great actor who picks some solid blockbusters, a lot of bad crowd-pleasing projects and the occasional arthouse blinder created by people who just aren't good at them.

It's too bad, because he could have a stronger artistic career with some better choices. But he's still making a ton of money on the big summer movies and is very famous, so he'll be fine either way.

He wouldn't be playing teenage spiderman. NWH basically ended the school years of SM. So if he does come back to the rumoured new trilogy then it would be adult Peter. He looks perfectly of age to do so. He's only 27, that's still young.

The last 3 projects he had were serious dramatic roles. We all know he can do darker roles perfectly well. If anything doing something light hearted could be helpful to his career.
