I will never know him personally, but for me it seems that he needs a specific type of person to actually go steady.
The main issue isn't really his life skills in my opinion, you can date someone and not know how to do basic house work or even take care of yourself, for me its more so his lifestyle in general, his BUSY lifestyle.
There are long periods of time where he is just in Brighton (or prior to that, Bogner) living life, where even at "long distance" he would pay attention to messages and all that, but then he has sudden "busy weeks" where he has to travel to god knows where for convections and the like where not only he will be busy over panels, but where he will also be catching up with people and partying, which even if a SO would go with, it would mean barely any attention given, since as an SO, you would be there to support Toby (which for me makes sense), not to be around him 24/7.
Not to mention the Subathon, where he has to entertain over 5k people over a week-month period 24/7, coming up with stuff to do and basically being a host to his friends who basically act as free content for him when he is dry out of ideas.
So.
Either he gets with another CC similar to him where they are used to the time split between friends, streaming and a SO, or they meet someone outside the whole streaming sphere that similar to his family can either follow him around to convention and the like as moral support for him (or is at least ready to manage their life around his), be physically present most times, or is VERY mentally healthy or understanding and can handle the low attention ( low/minimum attention during specific times doesn't directly mean lack of love I would say), or hell, someone who can do all 3.
