I was borin in '79 & vaguely remember seeing a movie on tv, or at least part of it. It was a gay themed movie, I think it may have been "Welcome Home, Bobby", with Timothy Williams in the lead role & remember thinking he was good looking. I would have been about 7 or 8 at the time & didn't think "oh I'm gay", I just knew I thought this guy was a good looking nice guy.

1992 would have been a little later, but was it Doing Time on Maple Drive? William McNamara was stunningly beautiful and a gay boy’s dream bf. The film is also notable for being one of Jim Carrey’s prominent drama performances.

Christ, Jim is strung up in some kind of torture device shirtless to highlight and expose the rippling muscles of his sweaty back and then when he is freed by very Stewie Griffin sounding Artemus. It then breaks out in a fight where the crotch of his pants rips out exposing his not period tighty whites bulge. Most of the main action starts in this incredibly clear recording at 46 minutes.
