Why are people so angry about circumcision

Mods' actions in post 221 goes to the heart of this. Can form a consensus that a picture of an infant's penis crushed in a circumcision device is unbearable to look at, but society cannot form a consensus that the act is unbearable.

Anybody can see that the act is wrong. Google sheldon clamp in use. Comes to the top of the search and web host circlist has many devotees in this thread.

Dxj I believe that mods action didn`t have much to do with the pic being unbearable as much with the fact that it was a picture of a minor. Pics of kids younger than 18 years here are not allowed. Doesn`t matter how innocent those pics are. A mod can correct me if I am wrong.

I haven`t seen the pic itself, but I have see the warning in the Mods Actions Thread. So I believe it was a recognizable picture of a minor. And any pics of the minors are not allowed.

I'm glad more people are starting to notice the obvious.
Regardless of what is legal in the US, this is LSPG and it also has its own rules. Posting pictures illustrating minors are not allowed here and there are no exceptions. I guess this means that some people may need to find a different defense mechanism than the "baby shield" if at least for visuals. But we'll see.

There's really no point in arguing this, the decision isn't going to change, you broke the ToS by posting a link to an image of a minor, plane and simple. I suggest you just drop this now DX.

If you really want to continue to discuss circumcision and your opinions on it then do so in one of the other threads devoted to that topic. You know full well that this thread wasn't intended for that purpose and now you really are threadjacking with this nonsense.

Images of minors and their body parts, recognizable or not, have been prohibited on this site for many years. There is nothing new.

Now I suggest you stay on the topic of this thread or start another. But do not upload, or link to, any images of minors.

Yeah, I've kind of lost my way. I'm not feeling much love for circumcisers. Here's a good joke. Maybe put the love back in:

A 6 year old and a 4 year old are upstairs in their bedroom. The 6 year old asks, "You know what? I think it's about time we started cussing..." The 4 year old nods his head in approval. I'm all for a good debate and even a row/argument, but i just wanna let you know that i'm not pissed off at you just because i disagree with your opinion. You seem to be the recipient of a lot of anger even from your peers who agree with your viewpoint but not your methods.
So... again just letting you know, that this topic doesn't really affect me or get my back up... but am all for spirited debate....

Threadjacking was not my intent. I simply want to point out that there could be a lot less anger surrounding the debate, with some basic tact, and consideration for other people.
Using the same tactics, over and over, in multiple threads, does nothing to shed light or understanding...and has raised the anger level considerably in here, over the years.
