hello white men, a question for you. why do you think any man wearing briefs/bikini briefs/tangas would definitely be gay? it may just be he likes to wear briefs because he finds them comfortable or sexy or likes to show off his perfect body or just his preference . I would genuinely like to understand what's the correlation between a man's underwear length and his sexuality. and in today's age of gender equality, does this correlation apply on women too? would you also consider women wearing smaller underwear like g strings or bikinis or thongs as lesbian? actually all men are welcome to share their views.
there was a time when most European men wore briefs only and nobody called them gay or anything so what happened now? secondly, why this rule didn't get extend to women then?

Personally, I despise briefs. When I was younger tightey whiteys were pretty much it. Everyone wore them, and I did too. Being as it was all I ever knew I just accepted them as "This is just what underwear is like". They were tight and a random erection would send me exploding out.

When I started buying my own underwear boxer briefs hadn't hit the scene yet, but I did discover boxers, and loved them. No longer was I subject to uncomfortable briefs! When boxer briefs hit the scene I did buy some and liked them... mostly the spandex athletic type like the UnderArmor BoxerJock. I also started buying a couple of jocks here and there.

Then my underwear drawer was full, and I stopped buying underwear for a while. The waistband of my UA BoxerJocks gave out. I went to the store, and bought what I thought was the exact same thing, but it wasn't. The material wasn't as stretchy anymore, and instead of stretching to accommodate my equipment, it forced everything straight down crammed down with my taint, which was extremely uncomfortable. When my Jockey boxer briefs gave out, I bought another couple of pairs of Jockey boxer briefs, and the same thing happened. Instead of stretching to accommodate, everything was smashed down. I started wearing my jocks more often as daily underwear. As far as boxer briefs go, I only buy from Duluth Trading now because they're the only brand that accommodates me properly anymore.

Then tragedy struck. The elastic on my primary go-to jocks gave out. Bought some new jocks, and wow... Lots has changed in the jock world since the early 2000s. The comfort and support provided by the some of the modern manufacturers is phenomenal. Now I primarily wear jocks, and occasionally wear boxers or boxer briefs.

So, for me at least, briefs represent my uncomfortable tortured past, and will never buy them again.

Women wearing G Strings, bikinis, and thongs lesbians? The thought never crossed my mind.

Everyone should be free to wear whatever they're comfortable in.

From my growing up period, it wasn't just white guys that thought it was gay to wear briefs. Briefs were seen as too revealing as they show off your bulge or lack of one and they show off your thighs. This probably coincided with the change in locker room habits that if you got naked you were gay because you wanted to show other guys your body. That thinking still largely prevails today with the younger generation.

I grew up with boxers fading and boxer briefs being popular. I went commando mostly with some boxers and boxer briefs for the times I did wear underwear. Also, briefs are considered old man underwear, since those men always wore them when they were young and it being the style for all or most of their life.

When you say hello white men is this because you think its a white thing?

Disclaimer >>> I am not white, so this is just an opinion based on my reality.

Males, under a certain age wore what their mothers purchased for them. Just like their socks and pajamas.
Men generally wore boxers; and young men under a certain age work brief's. After a person grows up, they either continue to wear what they are comfortable with or wear what they want. Do some males, wear breifs, because they think they look sexy, yes. Do some men wear brief's because it reminds them of their youth, yes. Same goes for guys who wear thongs, I guess

Personally, I think there comes a time that a man needs to look in the mirror and understand that there many be a certain age to weight to body circumference factors, that are more suited to boxers / boxer brief's.

PS : I am definitely past the age underwear of self realization, yet I do admit to owning a few pair of generic white brief's. In the summer, If I am wearing form fitting clothing, brief's / boxers tend to ride upward at the legs, while Brief's stay in place. Also I tend to wear color underwear daily; but for linen white pants /, white brief's are my go to, as the color does not telegraph through.

Cheers

The question is preloaded with the assumption that white men think this way as opposed to men of other races.

I wear boxers because they are more comfortable than wearing briefs. I can't ever remember wearing "tighty whities." When working out, I'll use boxer briefs because they provide good support.

My partner wears thong and g string panties not because of her sexuality but so her panty lines will not be visible.

I think we are mostly okay with them personally, but at the White Guy meeting in spring of 2022, it was decided straight guys would wear boxer-briefs or boxers and gay guys would wear briefs.

Can’t argue with democracy.
shhhhh, we aren’t supposed to tell people about the White Guy Meetings.

On one hand, it’s true. Gay men like to wear skimpier underwear. On the other hand, most men wore briefs for a long time. I’m not sure what happened between the 80s and 90s that caused men to start hating briefs and only associate them with gay people. (Disclaimer: I was not alive during the 80s.) Many associate them with their childhood, and their hatred for them might be a form of rebellion or just trying to exercise their independence—whether or not they actually find them comfortable.

As far as the racial piece, it’s not just white men. I would say hetero black men have an even bigger aversion to briefs. But, that might be explained with the aforementioned association. Briefs seem to be fairly accepted among most other races.

In my opinion, this blog topic should be about all races of men whom decide what underwear they
feel comfortable in wearing. It could be for style, or to accentuate their endowments or to attract
attention… To me, it has nothing to about a gay appearance as a stereotype, and etc. I’m a black man, and I choose to wear the Bikini style underwear for this reason:

I have a long flaccid penis. These briefs help conceal my length in public, and in the workplace. I don’t like noticing the groin area stares, but I can minimize it… I just lay him sideways, lengthwise to my right along the natural curve. It’s sorta like a hammock to keep him in place most of the time, unless I get boner! LOL! - However, I really can’t ever conceal its size completely. Boxer shorts never worked for me because I don’t like the hang down my leg feel, or the look thru my pants. Everyone here on this thread has their own reasons to share. I attached one photo for you to see why I wear this style.

I'm truly sorry you despise briefs. I feel that way about boxers. I too grew up in a world of tighty whities and thought they were hot since All the guys in the locker room wore them.

Jocks have evolved, true, but bikeaythletic.com is trying to re-esatblish the classic Bike athletic supporter, but their Bikes are made in China and aren't like the old ones, one of which I was able to snag from eBay.

I have one of the "new" Bikes, and I do like it, but there's jocks I like better that cost a lot less.

There are reports about boxers promoting fertility but I don't know how accurate they are.
By "sagging" are you referring to guys who wore boxers that were loose and baggy and are you saying that nowadays, that look is over? Seems to me it's still around, but I don't really know.
The stooopidest boxer usage I ever saw was a college-age guy in my local suburban health club who stripped to his boxers then pulled on tight compressions short (whom God reject) and spent 3-4 minutes stuffing his boxers legs into the legs of the comp shorts, where they just made wrinkles and looked dumb. Poor kid. I guess he was just frightened to death that another man might see his dick.

Yeah, I don't know if it's based on fact but I was always told growing up that briefs made you infertile lol.

THAT is certainly NOT true. Obviously briefs don't "make" you infertile. It MIGHT be possible that boxers may help some guys because apparently it lowers the temp in your balls just enough to keep the sperm the right temp
