Personally, I despise briefs. When I was younger tightey whiteys were pretty much it. Everyone wore them, and I did too. Being as it was all I ever knew I just accepted them as "This is just what underwear is like". They were tight and a random erection would send me exploding out.
When I started buying my own underwear boxer briefs hadn't hit the scene yet, but I did discover boxers, and loved them. No longer was I subject to uncomfortable briefs! When boxer briefs hit the scene I did buy some and liked them... mostly the spandex athletic type like the UnderArmor BoxerJock. I also started buying a couple of jocks here and there.
Then my underwear drawer was full, and I stopped buying underwear for a while. The waistband of my UA BoxerJocks gave out. I went to the store, and bought what I thought was the exact same thing, but it wasn't. The material wasn't as stretchy anymore, and instead of stretching to accommodate my equipment, it forced everything straight down crammed down with my taint, which was extremely uncomfortable. When my Jockey boxer briefs gave out, I bought another couple of pairs of Jockey boxer briefs, and the same thing happened. Instead of stretching to accommodate, everything was smashed down. I started wearing my jocks more often as daily underwear. As far as boxer briefs go, I only buy from Duluth Trading now because they're the only brand that accommodates me properly anymore.
Then tragedy struck. The elastic on my primary go-to jocks gave out. Bought some new jocks, and wow... Lots has changed in the jock world since the early 2000s. The comfort and support provided by the some of the modern manufacturers is phenomenal. Now I primarily wear jocks, and occasionally wear boxers or boxer briefs.
So, for me at least, briefs represent my uncomfortable tortured past, and will never buy them again.
Women wearing G Strings, bikinis, and thongs lesbians? The thought never crossed my mind.
Everyone should be free to wear whatever they're comfortable in.
