I love how goofy this looks without the effects. I wonder how actors from like the MCU or The Boys or other superhero properties can do it with a straight face

Their suits have "Lord Tech" on them. Seems like all the featured heroes except Supes are working for Maxwell Lord, hence, the uggo uniforms they have on lol.
Unfortunately, I don't think David has that problem given how loose and ill-fitting his suit looks.
I got excited about Maxwell Lord for a moment till I remembered who they cast.
Suit is kinda disappointing imo I wished it to be more skin-tight
I'm thinking Gunn is setting up Justice League International. There's a theory that some of the heroes are working for people like Maxwell Lord, played by Sean Gunn to begin before Superman likely inspires them to be better.
That's very interesting. If this movie is supposed to be the antithesis to the nihilistic view of superheroes we've been seeing for the last decade (what I suppose, nothing confirmed) maybe that could work as a more hopeful version of the Boys.
And I hope this leads into the JLI, I wanna see Fire and Ice being gay around each other (as well as Booster and Ted. But mostly Fire and Ice)

Yeah I, I know I was just joking. The less said about your comparison the better.
Anyway, there's a set video going around of David as Supes that I can't post here since it features minors but it's really cute and I know you can't judge it from the little we've seen but I'm optimistic that this version will truly understand Superman as a character.
