About a year or so ago, I had to have a flexible cystoscopy, which is the insertion of a small tube with a tiny camera up the penis to see the inside of the bladder. If you ever have one done, you will not get an erection. I went to the urologist's office and was told to go into the room , remove my clothes below the waist, put this paper over my lap, and sit on the examining table. The doctor came in, took off the paper cover, took my penis and put some numbing gel about an inch up. Then he inserted the tubing and proceeded to guide it up to the bladder. I remember him saying,"Your bladder is pristine," which I found a bit amusing, since I was sitting on a table with a tube up my dick, having pictures of my bladder taken. He removed it pretty slowly, all the while looking at the monitor. He said," I'm going past the prostate, so you might feel something." It was the only feeling that was pleasurable. The tube came out, he wiped me off and I went on my merry way. It wasn't terrible; just the thought was unnerving. The first couple of urinations were painful, but after that, everything was fine. So, if you ever have to have one done, don't sweat it. You might get a couple of pictures of the inside of your bladder for your mantle.
