Gym Locker/shower Room Stories

In your experience, how long does it take others to copy your behavior? Just started at a new gym. We have a locker room with a hallway to the showers and five single-curtained showers (they are roomy though).

In two days of a busy locker room (teens through 50+), I’ve only heard one other shower. Today a large group of guys barely younger than me (I’m mid 20s) were shirtless in the sauna (co-ed, clothes required sadly), but none of them showered before leaving. I take off my compression shorts, walk to the shower carrying my towel, walk back holding the towel loosely in front, drop the towel and get dressed.

Is anyone likely to match my behavior soon? Would you leave your curtain open when showering or drying? Only two showers visible from locker room. Would you still walk without covering yourself if the showers are curtained?

When in Rome, do as the Romans do.

Jeju was chill today. Really relaxing to walk and lay around soft, hanging heavy, or with a solid semi. I was pretty chubbed most of the time.

Body scrub did get me hard when the towel was removed. The curtain was open and I was in full view of the hot and warm tubs, at least 6 guys must have seen me. Two guys asked me about the scrub later and decided they wanted one haha.

Chill four hours, but one guy did get jerk himself in the whirlpool, arm motion with one staying underwater was obvious. He even turned around so the jets could hit him. I’ll admit I did the same, but only with no one else in room. Jets felt great flopping my dick around everywhere under the hot water.

huh, how does that matter, the guy is saying he cant stand male nudity
Exactly. He’s like a little girl that says, “oh gross,” when he sees a real man’s cock. Even worse, he picks this fight with natural men that are appropriately comfortable with their bodies in a locker room, a place where you expect to see men naked. And it appears these men don’t even know this weenie boy even exists. Maybe that’s what he’s upset about, he wanted them to notice him and fight for his attention.

This kid's complaint reminded me of the place I used to work out. It was actually a racquetball club with a gym. Most of the members were 50+ and really just there to socialize. I saw lots of old guys, and their balls, every morning. They would all sit in the hot tub together, naked, then the sauna, naked, and then shower together, naked, it was an awesome environment for a young guy.

It is, right? It’s how men socialize. Group bonding. They discover that the humour and BS men talk is all the same no matter what age. Young men are introduced the the normality of men being men. They might learn something if they listen and stop criticizing. And that generation seems to be in a crisis of identity and they don’t stop to take a page from our (older dude’s) book??

I hate auto spell correct - I meant “Troupe-bonding” joining the body of productive men in society with cooperative and positive values. Gay, straight or bi, men are men and we all share a broadly common set of primal motivations and need for validation of those masculine traits. To be comfortable in our own body alongside other men is to have confidence and grow in good will and trust.

There's too many prudes like him. My gym just posted signs that we have to wear a towel when walking in locker room
Our gym had gang showers and it was very sociable (no gay vibe - although some dudes are). One person complained and they installed cubicles. Why not one or two at the ends for the prudes, leaving the rest open? Ruins the conversation flow around the wet area.

True. I grew up playing sports, so I was used to locker rooms and being naked with my peers, but it was different to be in the presence of these older men and see them interacting and for the most part acting the same way me, and my friends did.
