Harry Lawtey - Industry On Hbo

The excuse as to why would they go to all the trouble of a prosthetic for a scene that lasts 6 seconds is laughable.
Yeah, Hollywood hates wasting time and money!
Hell, they probably had the prop department make 3 different sizes.
I thought it was fake and didn't think twice about it, I'm glad looking back I see I wasn't alone.

A great tell is the way the actor carries themselves as they walk, if they seem rigid or don't move around much, chances are they are nervous about the Prosthetic coming loose. Or they are moving slowly so CGI can do the work more easily...James Purefoy in Altered Carbon comes to mind.

At this point, even if Harry did confirm it I still wouldn't believe it, because actors have lied in interviews before...Some guy on The Affair talked up about going frontal on that show, and then another actor accidently outed him and said it was a double.

I'm happy to see that season 2 has a title for 2.1 which means they slowly preparing for the next season. The renewal was announced around Dec 2020. I was scared that such a show may not be renewed since the buzz quickly came a went. According to IMBD Harry Lawtey and all of the original cast are back. S1 made it seem like some could easily be written completely out. More screen time for Harry with his corporate suits sounds good to me!

It gained momentum in the US after thanksgiving. It was the right move for HBO Max to release the entire season at once. It was after that that I saw people commenting on the show on social media. I’m not in the US so I watched the show on weekly basis and no one was watching it back then. I only found out about it out of luck.

I'm so over the weekly drops that these services or regular stations do. Handmaid's Tale has been a slog watching this final season 1 episode at a time. Really shows the weakness in so many episodes that can be ignored while bing watching. Same deal with Wanda Vision. I hope HBO Max dominates HBO's business model so that we can get more full seasons. I'd even be fine with shows dropping half of a season then doing the other half, but the 1 episode a week thing is nearly as annoying as commercials. You can tell I don't watch regular TV anymore.

Haha totally. I guess Disney+ does that because they are starting and not much original content has been created. Who knows what HBO Max will do, in my part of the world we will finally get the service the last day of January so we’ll see.

And yeah, weekly episodes seems so old now. Watched Mare Of Easttown and some episodes were slow but there were great ones and we had to wait a week for the next one.
