I wanted an unfiltered glimpse into the male sexual psyche...

That is why I decided to join this site. It was like diving into a science project. I am quite a curious person and like to "study" human behavior and tend to treat life as if its a live nature show.

And yet when I invited you to look at human behavior from a scientific perspective you said,

"Nah."

Based on your responses in this thread and the one you started in the Relationships forum you made up your mind before you joined here. That's confirmation bias--one of the great enemies of science. So is making moral/ethical judgments about scientific results.

Biology rules. Science rules.

Understanding is there for the taking.

I know. I know. "Nah."

Biology makes men shitty!! Science, bitch!!!

Ugh.

Dudes would be hilarious if not bristling with misogyny and toxic masculinity.

Yeah, I don't really care to adjust my biases if it involves figuring out the actions of people who actively make decisions to harm others. Though, it is intriguing to see the twisted perspectives such people have when their behavior is questioned and their brains picked. At the very least, it helps to sort the "how do they sleep at night" confusion.

The NYPD who raided Stonewall didn't care to adjust their biases either. Nor did the white power structure enforcing Jim Crow.

They rolled off the table...
They rolled cross the floor...
Then my poor eyeballs rolled right out the door

Your examples are asinine, hollow, and insulting. Especially when you take into consideration the bolded portion of my response.

Your bias is asinine, hollow and insulting. Your perspective is twisted by the hurt you feel and your inability or unwillingness to love and forgive.

Wow. What's this moment of absolute self-awareness like for you?

I mean...some would call it obvious projection, Mr. Came-From-Another-Thread-To-Chew-Unrelated-Butthurt-Beef-Cuz-Feels-Are-Unresolved

Do not attempt to armchair psychologist me when you hardly have sufficient personal information to advise me, or anyone else on this site, on even the most mundane of life choices. Your personal philosophy is just that. Personal. And as such can and should only be used to guide and dictate your own life choices. It does not, in any way, grant you specialized insight nor authority to determine who is right regarding this matter. Ironically, that also happens to be your personal philosophy. It's a mystery why you neglect to exercise its creed for those who dare to challenge it.

I'm a very simple gal. I dislike people who harm others. Cheating harms others. I dislike cheaters.

While your input is appreciated and has, indeed, given me clarity on the mindset of an individual who cheats, it in no way is an invitation for your condescending lectures emboldened by your self-assessed state of "enlightment" which, honestly, comes off as misguided at best, and insufferably pretentious at worst.

Stay in your lane. Thank you.

In the Relationship thread you said you prefer to live in perpetual bitterness. It is my sincere hope it's not the lane you choose to stay in.

As "sincere" as I'm sure your concern about me and my life is, it is not needed. Thank you.

Again, I appreciate your input on the topic and for providing a perspective from a dissenting position. Enjoy the rest of your day.

My position is not one of dissent but of understanding human nature. At no point have I said I approve of cheating, My position is that I understand it happens. That understanding comes from both personal experience and--because you said your foray here was like diving into a science project--from scientific study of human behavior which explains why it happens.

I am glad you do not need my concern. You have it anyway. That's MY lane.

Thanks. I hope you enjoy the rest of your day too.

When I swung by here 6 years ago, I didn't know entirely what to expect. My photos don't particularly stand out among the cornucopia of dudes around here, so I didn't attract too much unwanted attention. I can only imagine how insane it must be for the women around here. However, I was totally shocked at a request I got that I didn't even imagine was a thing: someone offered me money to ship him my underwear soiled with a requested 3 types of bodily fluids. Yikes. I now realize that anything that can be imagined, no matter how far-fetched and/or disgusting, might be something someone is into. Innocence lost. ;)
There are plenty of other ways/places to lose that innocence. I once took a class (at an Ivy League institution, doctoral program) that required reading cover to cover a few of the Marquis de Sade's works... When you get to the part in "120 Days of Sodom' with the artillery pieces, and you realize you're probably over a day's reading from the end... you decide not to take part in class discussion that week :/ After that, and a couple of accidental mis-clicks on the Interwebs a few years later that had me start by calling a friend with government connections to ask "How do I report this to the FBI?" I gave up on human innocence.

Did you take the money?

My findings basically just confirmed what I already knew:

1. Most men are not capable of feeling love without engaging in sex, but they are capable of engaging in sex without feeling love.

2. Most men are willing to go without love as long as they are getting sex, but they are not willing to go without sex even if they are loved and actively receiving love from their partner.

3. Bisexual men should be avoided by women at all costs as they are the most likely to cheat compared to 100% straight men. They are more likely to cheat because they tend to seek sexual gratification like most men, and since men, in general, are easier to access for casual sex, they are more likely to cheat with men.

4. Remain alone and get cats. Lots and lots of cats.

Spend enough time at this joint...and you'll have enough material for a Ph.D. dissertation.

And trust me...you won't have to spend alot of time.
