He's not homophobic, he used to be, but he stopped being annoyed by the shippers and the gay side of Supernatural years ago. Don't listen to twitter threads from accounts that are very clearly biased against him. In fact, as a general rule I'd advise you not to get your info from twitter threads made by fandom accounts. Anyone who kept up with Supernatural cons, interviews and all that stuff can tell you that he stopped acting that way with queer fans as the seasons went on and the queerbaiting with Dean and Castiel was made more and more obvious. He would even join in on Misha's jokes about their characters acting like a couple.
He's not the reason why Destiel didn't happen and he's definitely not the reason why they did this version of Soldier Boy. Remember Jensen still had to audition for the role, I promise you actors don't have that much say over their characters, they can give suggestions but at the end of the day the showrunner has the final say on what happens in the story. We just have to keep in mind The Boys is made by straight people who are not trying to cater to a queer audience. I mean, think of the other gay representation in the show, none of the gay male characters we've seen are very relevant to the story so idk why people were expecting the show to suddenly be super gay.

The Jensen haters dig up old stuff from God knows when and misconstrue it to imply he's a homophobe. They look for anything to misconstrue and claim he's a bigot.
He essentially leads a quiet life away from the camera. People somehow think he's supposed to wear a rainbow flag jacket or something to show he supports the cause and shout it from the rooftops.
He doesn't advertise any of the issues he's passionate about and likely keeps it private. He's a private guy.
There's a section of the gay community who hate both Jensen & Jared.
They somehow see their success as undeserving and have this unhinged resentment of them.
It's weird.
The Collins hate is on another level. He didn't help himself with the bi joke but that came long after the pathological hatred of him started

The TV show made substantial changes that deviated significantly from the comics. I actually prefer most of the changes in the TV show better than what was shown in the comics.
