Totally agree with you! why do they put him in those extremely big rags? I understand that it's in vogue these days but where are the classic white shirts that fit close to the body? or the sleeveless t-shirts?

We actually do agree! But what you classify as "excuses", I maintain quite accurately are actually longtime Hollywood box-office, bottom-line $$$ casting decisions required by nervous investors looking to make a profit, driven by certain global ticket/subscription buyers who sadly won't fork over their $$$ to watch super-talented characters in bigger budget flick starring roles!

Right, that is the very definition of "excuses." Longtime excuses are still excuses. Money-driven excuses are still excuses. Hollywood excuses are definitely still excueses. It is good and right to identify these excuses as we go. So if your impression is that I am dismissing your analysis of these excuses, please understand that is not what I am saying. We need to know what the excuses are to call them out and hopefully one day knock them down.

But if we pretend they are smart, solid reasons instead of fear-driven, homophobic excuses, we will never get rid of them.

At the end of the day though, keep in mind that paying global audiences ultimately drive these bottom-line $$$ casting decisions, not just based on sexuality, but on an actor's box-office appeal which is very often required to secure the necessary financing to get movies made, marketed and distributed in the first place. And far too often, the most talented actors, gay or straight, aren't cast in major movie roles because they aren't viewed as being "box-office" enough!

Audiences play a key role in this casting issue too, with their wallets > much like voters play a major role in electing and re-electing far too many crappy politicians whom most of the public then complain about incessantly, without acknowledging their role in electing them to office in the first place!
