Lou Ferrigno Jr.

Sorry to burst the bubble but according to Lou’s interview he said goodbye to the show and to buck and Tommy relationship
Yeah, I saw the interview. I won't speculate on whether he's misleading readers or not because that's too much hope for this week.

I'll say goodbye and assume he won't come back. I'd like to be pleasantly surprised if he does but I certainly won't count on it.

I recorded the episode so I won't speculate but the whole storyline didn't seem to be an integral part of the show. They don't seem to know what to do with Buck and now that he's had a sort of boyfriend, where do they go from here? Not sure how much longer the show will be on.

After seeing the interview I think it is less of this being the actual end of Tommy and more of Lou not knowing what's in store for him so he's just assuming it's goodbye. Like either the writers have decided to keep Lou in the dark or it's just part of the set up for future episodes.

Of course it might just be me acting a clown as well but I'm going to ignore that for now.

Given that Lou's got another TV show at the same time, if the 911 producers want him they'll need to give him plenty notice. He's not sitting around waiting for their call. I doubt we'll see him again this season.

Oliver also said in an interview he doesn't think we'll see Tommy again. Just an overall disappointment they this has been handled.
It's been very badly handled. From the break-up out of the blue, particularly given last episode, and the interviews coming out right after it which seem to have indicated the cast and crew are in a completely different place from the audience.

Only Lou comes off well in all this. His Decider interview was very good.

So the episode aa fun, I liked Josh’s comment about the struggles older experiences versus younger experiences as well. That break up definitely would have seemed like one that could easily be reversed were it not for Lou’s comments so that’s a shame.

Interestingly on the ABC 911 Instagram the negative comments are quite vocal about how the episode went. Close to 5,000 comments on two recent posts…whereas typically the posts get a few hundred comments at most
I saw that. It seems the show really managed to piss a lot of people off. I don't think they expected this reaction.

I haven't watch yet because Disney+ will onair every Wednesday but sad to see him gone this show. I hope Tommy will feature in new 911 spin-off. I'm #TeamBuddie but Idk why scriptwritter make them breakup too early.

what a stupid reason to breakup, it doesn't make any sense lol. i know it's a fan service for buddie just to build their relationship, is buddie really happened? and honestly i still didn't see that. are 911 still kept this bi thing or they just moving on?

I really doubt Buddie is happening. I don't know what the writers were thinking.

Clearly they weren't. It's possible this is the dark before the dawn but they have severely underestimated just how much backlash they were inviting.

I guess people miss the part in the episode 6 Eddie came out as straight to the priest and both Oliver and Ryan said several time in interviews that was release after the episode air Eddie is straight.

Oh they know, they just don't care. Eddie said he's straight? He obviously lied because he smiled when he said it. Ryan said they were brothers in an interview? Oh he's just saying that not to spoil buddie. It's been 7 years of shipping and they still genuinely believe that buddie's going to happen no matter what.

It takes a truly epic level of self-deception for a man to say "the character is straight" and to hear "he's totally gay".

Not to give you false hope, but Tim Minear has been known to make things up as he goes along. Lou says that when he returned for this season, he was told there was a chance that Buck and Tommy would break up and Oliver only learned that Buck/Tommy would break up between filming episodes 3 and 4. Also, Tim is very busy right now being the showrunner for 911 and at the same time working with Ryan Murphy to create a new 911 spin-off/pilot for ABC.
