I've always been a big fan of stories. I'm just curious how much demand there would be for this.
Are you guys happy with the way this section is or would you like to see it built out and made fully searchable?
would be practical - yes, it already reveals a part of the story but it saves a lot of time when you are looking for something hot to read - sometimes I give up after 3 or 4 because after reading a few paragraphs they don't cover what I was looking for... and then there are the blogs - I don't consider myself as a good writer so I put my "stories" in one blog but it's always nice to see people read your "efforts" so how do people decide to post a story with erotic stories forum or in a blog? What is the best way for (the few) readers that might like my attempts to find them? Thank youDid not read everything above, but need to have it differentiated between Straight, Bi and gay....PLEASE?
yes, seems we are intitled to know what is going to happen...This thread is fast approaching its second anniversary
Is this ever going to be made reality?
i didnt say those were the only categories, and the categories are not silos, they are like tags, Bisex,Group for example on what you mentioned. a mastrubation tag can be added, interacial, etcYour categorization won't work. What about masturbation stories? Bisexual? In which category would you place a threesome?
add a voting module at the start, this can work both like a rating system, and give the writers their feedback, altearnatively, once per year, all completed stories posts can be re-aranged with the stories first, in all their parts, and then all the bump, bump, any update? postsMost authors love to know how their work is perceived. You'd be taking away what they get out of publishing a story on here.
i am not aware on how much work Mr. LPSG wants to commit to this, moving and cleaning up the threads would be ideal, but hyperlinking one part to the other as well as having editable 1st posts to tags can be added as the story evolves could be another oneAnd someone is going to move all these threads from WIP to completed manually at some point? I don't think so. Authors themselves should link their story parts to one another and make sure it's reader-friendly. A framework post & short "how to" as a sticky on top of the stories section could be helpful.
all solutions require time and effort, but there was a poll by Mr. LPSG and it was overwhelmingly showing that the section could benefit from some cleanup. if there is no time and effort available well, then the whole discussion is pointless innit? btw, some of the tasks can be automated like connecting or at least sorting the posts by time and size, the difference in comments and chapters is pretty distinct.Fully agree on requiring from now on going forward that a minimum number of tags is required, depending on the story theme(s). I don't think anyone from staff has time to add tags to all the existing stories. It's not something you could automate.
thats probably gonna nuke 95% of the stories, i dont think most of the authors are still active in the forum.Perhaps throw them in a subfolder "archive", with the mention that authors have 3 months to weed out their own and repost with the correct tags and otherwise, they get deleted?
I think you can post any story, as long as it doesn't contain themes that are illegal or against site rules. BDSM is perfectly legal between consenting adults. You may want to tag your story when posting.Im just scared to death to post anything, anywhere and get judged.
Here or Literotica or anywhere else.
Can I post BDSM?
BDSM is definitely allowed and members like myself would love it.
I think the idea of splitting it into broad categories like Straight, Gay, Bisexual, Authoritarian, Cuckold, SPH, etc would be great.
Tags would also be great. The way to keep this from getting out of hand would be to limit the number of tags on a story (to say 5).
Also, "title tags" just after the story heading (required) would be helpful: like MF, MM, FF, MFM, FMF; Auth(oritarian); SNM; CBT; etc. Frequently the title doesn't give a good idea of what the story is about. This could be also helped by providing a line of description below the title, such as:
"The Plumber Fixes Mrs. Jones Pipes" (MF, Size, Cuck)
Mrs Jones has an adventure with the plumber's big pipe; Mr. Jones comes home unexpectedly and watches.
"The High School Jock Loses More than the Game" (MM, Size Compare, SPH)
The hunky quarterback is pantsed during a game by his archival.
I've always thought "Fictitious Stories" is dreadful. Why not either just "Fiction" or "Stories"? "Fiction" would be great if you want to limit it to that. However, I prefer just "Stories" because some "real life" stories can be really hot, also. In fact, many "fictitious stories" start with the line, "This is a real story. . . "
Just in passing: Do users know they can already search stories by words in the story or title? I've found this helpful to screen for things I'm interested in.
Agree with batnballs 100%
Also, maybe change the header to just stories? There's no place to post true stories so may as well have it here with a tag for true. Stories always seem just a little hotter when they are (or can be believed to be) true
