I had mine done under local - it was a cosmetic one, done at a private clinic, and there was no suggestion of anything else. I can't see why such a relatively small op needs a general, but that seems to be the NHS way. A friend is having a hip replacement soon (NHS), and that will be under a local, so ...
The injections are not that bad - after the first couple it started to take effect (I think they did three or four, all round the base - I didn't watch!) so you probably won't feel the others. Certainly nowhere near a bad as having injections for dentistry!!

I don't have much of an update as nothing really has changed since my last update.
Right now, it's been almost 8 weeks. The frenulum is still swollen but this is expected to be for some time (a few months but depending on how your body heals). This is very delicate skin and is expected to take long to heal. This is absolutely normal.
This is preventing me from having a good stroke. I have started wanking the normal way not but have to stay close to the base and make small strokes.
So this is delaying me in having sex. The swelling doesn't really seemed to have gone down at all.
The doctor told me, that most of the nerves for sex is at the tip of the foreskin and will take long to climax. I haven't notice any different which is good. Although I wouldn't mind lasting a bit longer. Lasting longer isn't always a bad thing haha

How long was it before? Were you uncovered hard or will your head be in direct contact for the first time now?

It might be a really different experience with your head exposed. Have you tried rubbing it yet?
It really wasn't that bad. I felt the anaesthesia take quite quickly but everyone is different. You don't see any of it which helps, just stay calm and wiggle your toes, that's the best piece of advice. If you are worried, I am sure your doctor will be more than willing to give you some general anaesthesia, they would rather you be comfortable than pass out in theatre.
No it really isn't that bad! I hate needles so i didn't watch, but I only felt one of the injections then it started to go numb fast. After that the whole procedure was very straightforward.

The injection are done at the base of the shaft in the pubic area. Those did feel like a sting of a bee
Then i got one in the frenulum because it was cut too. That one hurt more
They kept referring to it as a block. I assumed they were putting something in to cause a block. Like an object of some sort. That's what I assumed lol
And then when I was getting done, it was painful enough to think they were putting something in.
But it was just an injection but because they were moving it about while injected caused the pain and made it seem more than what it actually was.
Although, for me it was painful. It was also bearable. I did manage it and it didn't last long and numbness kicked in straight away.
And thinking back, this is the only pain out of the whole thing I felt.
No pain during it or after. None at all during the recovery weeks which I was very surprised about.
So if it hurts, just keep thinking that this is the only pain, it will be over in a min and that's it.

Thanks, I guess it is a needle being pushed in your dick at the end of the day!
When I was cut they put several injections go in. The first felt about the same as a dental injection, maybe even less painful, certainly not a problem. By the time they put the others in the first had taken hold and I didn’t feel a thing. Nothing at all to worry about.
