New/ Renovated Communal Showers

the YMCA I go to has open showers. There are a couple stalls that pretty much nobody uses. Everyone just showers in the big room together ages 10 and up.

It seems like the U.K. has the right idea based on what I'm seeing in this thread. It's sad that the city I work in has only 1 gym that still has an open shower. Open showers used to be the norm, not the exception.

I've looked into this video further, and I can confirm that it is indeed Flaxman Sports Centre, Lambeth, London. In the video, a guy visits this gym for the first time in 6 months and discovers that it has undergone an £85,000 refurbishment. He is over the moon when he sees the new showers, as he says that the previous showers made him feel "claustrophobic" and were similar to those in Belmarsh prison!
