I think the strange thing it's more about the part where your dad was in the same room. Was that required when you were 18?

Since it was my first time seeing his doctor, yes, it was required. Things were different a long time ago when patient modesty wasn't a thing to be considered and a dad seeing his son nude wasn't awkward either.

Suspecting prostatitis, my urologist massaged me to produce precum onto a slide to confirm the diagnosis. He seemed surprised that I leaked so quickly and copiously but he caught all the drips. Prostatitis is agonizing and recovery is slow.

You are right. It’s a long slow recovery with lots of antibiotics. Felt like someone stuck a knife in my taint.

For mine they had me strip below the waist and lay on the exam table. Then the doctor pulled my shirt up to my nipples so I was pretty much naked. No gown, no sheet, nothing but me spread eagle on the table.
