It just implies that there are likely to be a lot of gay men using it, I would think.
Agree. @gwat is mixing up a gay gym with a gay sauna perhaps? It's an inclusive gym just like an inclusive rugby club or inclusive choir. I'm sure the gym is just another environment where gay guys can feel comfortable in non judgmental surroundings and free to be who they are cos let's face it the gym is one place where we feel we have to hide the fact that we're gay. I'm all for it.

Just that if some good guys take the chance on launching an inclusive gym where gay guys are welcome then we should be glad for that. I hope it's a success and goes on to bigger and better things. There's a time and a place for everything but it wouldn't be good to let such a good place get a bad rap.The Fitness First on Kingley Street (just off Carnbay) - re: the comment above - it has cubicles...I was there a few weeks ago - it had been totally made over with the new red/black theme. While I didn't have a shower, I did walk by them and they were not an open design.
Today, I went swim at the London Fields Lido having read elsewhere they had open showers. WRONG! It must have been an old article - the mens changing room has three small shower cubicles and a rather small changing room for the size of the pool. Also the ONLY lockers available are OUTSIDE by the pool area. So if you want to have a proper shower (i.e. - naked), you'd have to go back and forth to the outside locker in a towel etc. to get your stuff. Or leave things on a hook in the changing room while you shower. There are a few outside showers by the pool but they are open and for everyone. There's private changing cubicles outside too....but for the winter season, I'd rather go back inside after a swim to warm up and get showered / dressed.

I can confirm the 'wet' men's changing room at the Holborn Oasis Leisure Centre has open showers. It's the changing room that leads to the indoor and outdoor pools. There's about 6 shower heads that face directly to the locker / changing area. There's no real chance for funny business, but it's clear there's people cruising there and showering longer than is strictly necessary. There has been rumours that area will get a make over and switch to cubicles which would be a real shame.
Went to Oasis in Holborn this evening. They still have open showers in the 'wet' changing rooms, but they are in full view of everyone so don't expect much to happen!
Still, people (me included) spent ages in there making sure to be nice and clean...
And some dude with a huge cock was definitely not shy of showing his stuff off.

Will give the oasis a go, haven't been in a while since they were doing it up. I always walked naked to and from showers. Can guys see you in the locker room if u r showering?

Was there a few years ago, a few times over a weekend I stayed in London. Plenty of nudity. One guy stood against the side wall of the showers (side on to the locker room) and just stood with the water pouring over him with full erection. Just standing facing the wall as if he was all alone at home. Then just walked to the locker room, dried off, dressed and left.
