The YMCA's in Newport, RI, Warwick, RI, and Westerly RI all have open showers
Modestly comes to Berlin. My gym just put partitions between the showers. Almost every shower in Berlin is open, this is new. The members are complaining.
I’d love to know how the word their complaints. I can’t imagine complaining in the UK about a change from communal showers to something more private without it sounding like I just want to shower in the open with other men. (Which IS true, but makes it sound pervvy).
Easy....why did you install dividers which have those awful joints that rust and can catch mold. The showers were fine before.
The shower cucibles where I swim are not kept as clean as they should be, and because there's walls/doors, guys tend to leave junk on the floor (empty shower gel etc). I've never seen that done in a full open shower...and there's less surfaces to clean in open showers too.
Why do gyms in Berlin allow women staff members in the men's changing room. I was in a gym there and twice that evening a female staff member came in to help a man who couldn't access his locker. I was surprised but I'm not familiar with gyms in Germany. There would be uproar if male staff members walked unannounced into women's changing rooms.
That gym was grest though. It had a great steam room where all the men were stark bollock naked. Same in Sauna. There were one or two women in the sauna also naked with the men. Clothes aren't allowed in Sauna or steam room.

There is a whole different and IMO more healthy culture in Germany about nudity. Saunas are mixed and swimwear is not allowed - you will see a notice saying badhosen verboten and everyone complies. Even in five star hotels it's quite normal that an opposite sex attendant will be in the locker rooms. No one takes any notice.
Are men allowed in women's changing rooms there?

The men in Berlin are becoming self- conscious about nudity in showers with other men. They wear underwear in the showers and put their hands over cock and balls when in shower. Things have changed.
