Priligy/Dapoxetine/SSRIs for premature ejaculation - thoughts and advice please

Let me start with a poll: have you used the above and if so, what was the effect?

I was toying with the idea before but had kinda given up on it but recently hooked up with a guy who said it took him ages to cum as he was on anti-depressants so I thought for a severe case like mine (during anal, we're talking in and out...), they might actually help. Never been on any SSRIs so not sure what to expect - ready online about some side effects. Have people experienced those? With taking the pill before sex, how have you found the timing to work?

Basically, any help and advice would be much appreciated as I'd love to start topping again (have had to virtually stop due to PE).

OK so it looks like this specific SSRI is fast-absorbing and fast-metbolizing (like hours instead of weeks). Hopefully that means no discontinuation syndrome when stopping, which is notorious with SSRIs prescribed for mental health.

My problem with SSRIs was maintaining a hard on because you last so long. You loose a lot of sensitivity so a lot of the fun is gone. also SSRIs side effects are a bitch. They can last a while even after stopping the medication. You’re fucking with your brain with them. I’ve had better luck with numbing sprays. Just two sprays on, 20 minutes before and I’m ready to go for a while. I like the numbing cuz it still allows you to feel everything while being able to control yourself. I just wash it off with some water to ensure my partner doesn’t get numbed out. My husband prefers for me to leave it on if he’s doing anal cuz it helps help relax a lot faster and bottom like a porn star.
I use the spray peineili, it’s cheap and effective in my experience. I just spray my head, not the entire cock.
plus I’ve gotten to the point where I rarely use the spray. It helps train your stamina over time. I usually go for 30 minutes or longer. Just depending on how the bottom is feeling. If they are starting to get uncomfortable from all the pounding, than you can finally let yourself cum.

I had bad PE haha I’m talking about minute man haha

Tried paroxetine on demand but didn’t work for me.

I’m on Esctalopram now 20mg whilst not a stamina god, I don’t blow as quickly. Not as long as I want but it helps, I went back on it for my depression but also to help with my sexual side of things.

I want to come off but scared off the side effects.

Honestly I’d try exhaust other things before SSRI, they can be beneficial sure but maybe last resort.

I’ve always had PE issues which caused anxiety but I almost feel like I’m stuck in them now due to my last experience coming off them

I've been on and off several different types of medication for mental health purposes. I will say that there were medications that increased the time for my orgasm, even though it wasn't for PE purposes.
Not all medications will have the same effect, but you might find one that will help for your circumstances. Don't give up and keep experimenting until you find something right for you.
