I don't think I can add anything on-top of what's already been said. I can empathise though. I was at this point at maybe the age of 14/15? My penis became incredibly sore especially in an erect state.

It was a possibility I'd need a circumcision but after following advice regarding stretching it (specifically in the shower as suggested above) it meant that it loosened enough so that I was no longer in pain.

Then by the time I was having sex, that did all the stretching for me tbh.

Can't complain now although sometimes it's retracts almost too easily! Hope that you get there with a bit of perseverance and without the need for a circumcision. Like you say, personally I don't think getting cut is necessarily a win win.

I think it depends on your personal feelings and attitude Jaden. There are blokes who just have a total horror of circumcision, on both themselves and on others. Not helped by the angry brigade who regard it as "mutilation". For myself, I had it done as a teenager. The only problem for me was that it happened before I left school, so I had quite a lot of changing room "banter", but blokes do that anyway about anything at that age. When school was out of the picture it was fine and a lot of gay blokes actually like circumcised dicks. I have had a few partners who prefer it, perhaps because it is not that common in Britain. It is certainly cleaner for me personally, since I sweat easily at the best of times - the last thing I would have wanted were extra issues because I couldn't shower easily.

I just couldn't be bothered - then or now - to faff about with creams and stretching and all that palaver. It's like anything else - a computer or a car, if a part in it is not working, get rid of it. I guess some blokes might find their problem actually ends by their late teens when their dicks get used more, but I didn't fancy years of discomfort and embarrassment.

If you're being serious; seek more than one medical opinion, research it and then weigh your options. This site is the last place I would go based on the pro and anti circumcision extremists that migrate here and call home.

Cut guys - all uncut cocks are stinky, unhealthy, blah, blah, blah
Uncut guys - you will lose all of your penile pleasure, you will be maimed, blah, blah, blah

If a guy has only 200 posts and more than two thirds relate to circumcision or the celebration of it or his uncut counterpart posts 37 paragraph manifestos your probably in the wrong place seeking unbiased and non-subjective advice.

"Preputioplasty is a plastic surgical operation on the foreskin of the penis, to widen a narrow foreskin which cannot comfortably be drawn back off the head of the penis in erection because of a constriction (stenosis). In short, it consists in making one or more longitudinal incisions at the narrow preputial ring and in its surgical suture in a transverse direction.

Preputioplasty is a treatment for phimosis in the alternative to circumcision and radical dorsal slit. It is conservative, non-traumatic and less invasive and can be performed on an outpatient basis under local anaesthetic in a doctor's office. Besides, there is the advantage of healing very quickly with little or no significant cosmetic alteration to the appearance of the penis".

Fig 1. Penis with tight phimotic ring making it difficult to retract the foreskin. Fig 2. Foreskin retracted under anaesthetic with the phimotic ring or stenosis constricting the shaft of the penis and creating a “waist.” Only one incision is shown in the diagram; if two or more such incisions are made this will prevent a V-shaped indentation at the opening of the foreskin when the penis is not erect. Fig 3. Incision closed laterally (more commonly it simply consists of one or more very short longitudinal incisions which release the stenosis–the constricting ring of tissue—in the foreskin and are closed transversely: [ | ] is closed and sutured as [ — ]). Fig 4. Penis with the foreskin replaced over the head. The opening of the foreskin is now normally wide enough for the foreskin to be easily retracted. The foreskin is also slightly shorter (by the length of the longitudinal incisions which are now closed transversely) because the widening of the phimotic ring takes up some foreskin length.

If it is causing you pain or major discomfort have the snip. I did seven years ago and was very happy with the result. Sensitivity is fine and it looks and feels great. If you go down that path get a high cut so you keep as much inner foreskin as possible and go to a place that uses skin glue as this leaves a neater result and speeds up healing time by half.

aka: Dorsal slit. It shortens your foreskin on one side in onder to widen it. It does not remove the tissuue which caiused the phimosis so it can re-occur later.

If th foreskin tightness is from chilhood (not acquired), you can consider this sincce the foreskin is naturally night as opposed to a medical issuue that caused it to tighten. However, insidet of a single dorsal slit, a good cosmetic surgeon will do multiple ones all around so your foreskin is shortened evenly all around, otherwise a single cut mac make for unslightly foreskin.
