Today's mood

Grumpy. An allergic reaction to a new laundry detergent has left me itchy. Minor, but obnoxious. Benadryl has me drowsy and a bit out of it

I can't believe people still climate change is a scam.
How many records need to be broken? Where I live at times we have been at least 10-15 degrees above the historical average for 2 months now. Month after month year after year record temperatures, record rain fall, record floods, record hurricanes, record fires, record drought, and yet we talk like it doesn't exist and act like it's not happening.

I am confused because when these events happen in states that are run by people who deny climate change and then they want to ask for help and assistance from the government and surrounding states. 1,000 year floods, 5,000 year floods, 10,000 year floods and they get on TV saying we've never seen a flood like this or this has never happened in our state before...or this has never happened in the history of this country. That is as telling as anything. They deny it exist until it exist right in front of them.

[A series of devastating tornadoes that hit western Ohio late Monday marked the 12th consecutive day of such severe storms in the United States, with an average of 27.5 tornadoes occurring each day over that time period. If that seems like a lot, that’s because it is.

Scientists have found that since the 1950s, the annual number of tornado outbreaks has remained roughly the same, but the number of tornadoes per outbreak — or the number of days with multiple tornadoes — is increasing]

Kinda excited. Road trip today down to San Antonio to see my cousin's kid graduate tomorrow. They're having a little party as well. Because their house will be full, sister and I found a bed & breakfast place to stay at for which I am grateful. A nice quiet place to retire to after all the social activities tomorrow

Kind of feel a certain kind of way toward the two people i have and consider to be friends when i told them something pretty important, sad, unfortunate, and just really depressing in what it means for my life and all they could do is make fun or ignore what I said entirely to ask about something completely unrelated.

It went like this.
Me: So i had to sell my car
Guy 1: oh did they take your headrest covers? (I have football related headrest covers)
Guy 2: 20 mins later after asking about some chicken wing sauce ideas.....did carfax cover (minor storm related recycle bin incident)?

Sigh.
