What are your views on briefs/tighty whities

I have always fallen in the white tighties wearing boyish look.Guys I date know that once they strip off my clothes I 'll be standing there in black socks and a well filled basket in my briefs and a tight t shirt.Like how briefs hug my swimmers ass.Wear Calvin's most of the time.

I used to wear only tight briefs. I have since moved to mainly boxer briefs, however I still wear tight briefs occasionally simply because I will always like them. Several of my girlfriends have convinced me to make the change - and it’s funny what age does.....it changes you.

I used to wear tighty withies in highschool and so did my 2 brothers and my mom was doing the washing so to keep them nice and vey clear white she used javex. When I moved to college and had to do my own laundry and was scared of using javex because I was scare of ruing my other clothes. They did not turn out as bright as my mom when she did the wash. So I started to fade out the whites because they were getting dull and off white. I went to the colored briefs and put them with my regular wash so no need for javex. The briefs keeps their color and I do not to worry about my other clothes.

Your girlfriend wanted you to switch to boxer briefs, or to wear regular briefs?

The girlfriend of one of my friends that convinced me to ditch my boxer shorts in favor of briefs had a girlfriend that made him do that. Once he switched, he was amazed at how good they feel.

This past summer, around here, I had seen a number of young men (which was interesting) wearing white shorts through which you could clearly see that they were wearing white briefs for underwear.

Wore them into sophomore year in college then stopped; recently started purchasing again and now have several dozen in lots of colors (white, pink, yellow, etc.), all low rise, CK, Pump and Jack Adams

Way back in the day, that is all there was. Also the military issued underwear was tighty whities and we were required to wear them. As soon as I got out of the service and compression, lycra, and boxers became available I immediately jumped to them. The problem with a very large package and 28" thighs in either briefs or a jock, it looks like I have an obscene size hard on...

I personally never liked briefs. I bought a pack of CKs once and didn’t like the feeling of them. I couldn’t wait to get out of them at the end of the day. I’ve always been a free ball or boxer briefs type of guy.
On the other hand I like seeing briefs/bikini/speedos on dad types.

I was recently at an Ivy League University bookstore and their underwear section did include boxers (as I expected; I think that's the underwear of choice of guys who want to lounge around the dorm in their underwear) but surprisingly, they had a large display of classic FULL-CUT white Jockey briefs; the kind my dad wore (and I did too). I figured no college dude would buy them unless in an extreme emergency.

I'd get an instant hard-on. I love to hear there's still enough demand among young people.

I think briefs are making a huge comeback you see them in a lot of stores. Not as big as trunks and boxer briefs yet but definitely ahead of boxer shorts which have disappeared.

Growing up as a teenager in the uk the choice was either briefs or baggy boxers. I always wore briefs - with thinner sides to them than y fronts - and so did most of my mates. I knew what everyone wore as we did sport together and I’d have a cheeky look in the changing rooms. At uni I shared a room with my best mate and he wore the same m and s pants like me and only baggy boxers in bed. It was only afterwards I noticed more lads moving to tight trunk style boxers which are now commonplace.
It’s a shame as briefs are definitely hot. I think if they have a waistband and are designer they are more acceptable than the old school briefs which are now more associated with old guys sadly.

I wore briefs when I was growing up, switched to boxer briefs in high school and college, then went back to briefs.

I'm not a particularly endowed guy, and boxer briefs wear out far too quickly. Plus I work out now and briefs feel better around my waist and package.

Someone came out with a study that said that tight underwear was the cause of low sperm viability because of the balls being kept to warm by the underwear. So all the young studs said I better let my nuts have some cooler air to up my sperm viability. Therefore almost over night the younger generation switched to boxers. At the same time false modesty became the rage and boxers did not show as much as briefs did when lounging in your underwear.

I doubt a medical study had that much power. I think it's more of an advertising change; people need something new, and if boxers were old man underwear and them the people in fashion suddenly decreed that wearing boxers was rebellious (as in the famous Boxer Rebellion), young guys went for it on those grounds.
