I had my birthday dinner last week at Los Arcos in Tijuana. It was excellent! The lunch buffet at the Hacienda restaurant is quite good. It's located inside the Hotel Grand Tijuana where we stayed. The food and ambiance at the Restaurant El Potrero were great. It looks kinda cheesey from the outside because it is shaped like a giant sombrero but the food was fresh and the waiters were attentive without hovering.

Los Arcos Seafood Restaurant and Bar - Tijuana, Mexico

1000 Salinas Blvd., at the corner of Escuadron 201 Ave. in Colonia Aviacion (01152-664-686-4745). Open Sun.-Wed., 9 a.m.-10 p.m.; Thurs.-Sat., 9 a.m.-midnight ($7-$18).

This seafood restaurant is a great discovery. The tropical atmosphere is lively with people talking, laughing and rhythmic music from Mazatlán playing. Of special recommendation is their Tequila Shrimp, which is cooked with damiana sauce and tequila. Delicious! Also recommended is their "Donna Reyna" style fish filet. It's baked with shrimp, mushrooms, celery, onions, chile, bacon and cheese. They also offer 6 cuts of steak including a steak and lobster combination. If you love seafood, dine here.

Restaurant El Potrero - Tijuana, Mexico
4700 Blvd. Salinas in Colonial Aviacion, Tijuana (01152-664-686-3626). Open daily 7 a.m.-11 p.m. ($4-$17).

This conspicuous, circular restaurant with a huge sombrero for its roof is one of Tijuana's most highly recommended restaurants. In fact it's such an unforgettable landmark restaurant that locals refer to it as "El Sombrero," which means "the hat" in Spanish. They serve delicious steaks and Mexican specialities such as a tantalizing mole potrero. Looking for a really great breakfast? Order their chilaquiles (which include scrambled eggs, tortilla pieces, a savory cheese and tomato sauce). It's so good! Meals are served in a warm and friendly atmosphere with lots of happy people! Become part of a true Tijuana tradition, and dine here often. Credit cards; AE, MC, VISA.

I barbequed tonight. Porterhouse steak some salad and vegies with some diet coke.

I had a simple dinner of macaroni salad, crackers, and decaf iced tea.

Yum! Except for the diet coke, I prefer regular. You can cook for me anytime, Brislands. :flirt:

I went out to dinner with some friends. I had moussaka, it's a Greek-style lasangna, made with eggplant, potatoes, ground beef and a bechemel sauce.
It was delicious.
We split some galaktoboreko (?) for dessert. That's a baked sweet custard dessert with filo dough and cinammon.

Tonight it will be t-bone steak with melted blue cheese, garlic rosemary roasted spuds.
Washed down with a bottle of Australian Cab/Sav.
Plain vanilla bean icecream.

Do you understand what you just said? Did you perhaps mean, "Fo' shizzle"?

Ahhh yes... I forgot theres protocol for these things. To clarify.. I meant, "for real". It's a bit of an inside joke betwixt an old friend and I. I apologize for any confusion.
