Why are they trying to force sexual fluidity onto gay men

I believe a lot of it is a call to the silent majority. The bisexuals who have always been forced by the gay and straight communities to pick a side.

For too long, some gay and straight people have seen bisexuality as simply a gateway for closeted gay men to come out. This is true, but there is a much bigger number who are actually a shade of bisexual who enjoy both to varying degrees.

These shows are trying to make people aware that bisexuals can have relationships or even just sex with any gender and that it is normal for these people.

It's not erasure of gay identity. It's an acceptance that there are real bisexuals who never really identified as gay.
But many of these participants claim to still be gay but say they enjoy sex with women. Not bisexual. And many get upset at being accused of being bi.

How is this not bi erasure?

You are talking about is men who identify as gay but occasionally have sex with women. Just like there are men who identify as straight who occasionally have sex with men.

The people you're talking about are rounding up or down to simplify but yes, they are strictly speaking bisexual.

If someone had sex 100 times a year. 99 times was with another man, once with a woman. I can understand why they could identify as gay and tell people that they are gay. But strictly speaking they are a shade of bisexual.

Some of these “gay” porn performers have done it more than once but also speak of how much they crave and love pussy. When challenged they claim that gays can be attracted (and have sex) with women, and that doesn’t make them bisexual.

Some actually have said gays who don’t want sex with women are misogynists.

I think the term “gay” is becoming like the term “queer.” It no longer strictly means homosexual, it’s more like being sexually open, adventurous or different. A protest against the heteronormative.

There is a huge push back against bisexuals and transgenders trying to change the definition of gay/homosexual. Many homosexual men and women wants nothing to do with the “queer community” which is mostly made up of these type of problematic people who loves attention.

I could not have put this more clearly. My neighbor is typical of the problematics in my city. Male one day, female the next, and quick to correct if you guess wrongly what mood (gender, non-gender, he, she, it, or they) happen to be at the moment. I don't have time, patience, or energy for it, and avoid all people like them and refuse to employ them.

I see this a lot more in the Gen Z generation. Many of them are lost souls who were raised by the internet. They don’t have a mind of their own to think for themselves. They’re a spoiled generation are followers who are easily influenced and constantly seek validation for negative behaviours.

Porn performers can't even be honest about their cock size, let alone their real orientation. The only thing that you can trust is that they will say what makes them the most money.

In many cases, it's fake gay for pay to get the "straight chaser" market. In others, they know there is no money in straight porn so they rely on drugs to perform.

In the days before Viagra, Ken Ryker struggled to keep an erection in his anal scenes. Most of the time he was strangling his semi with his hand in order to fuck someone.

I disagree with the word gay becoming an umbrella term. There are so many letters now they are using a "+" sign to include everyone. Even the rainbow flag has more colors!

I’m not saying they’re right or should be trusted but it was becoming a thing several years ago. “Gay” men craving pussy. Hopefully it’s peaked and we’re coming down the other side back to reality.

No one is forcing anything onto any one. If you're feeling forced, that's a you problem.

However, I understand how this new gospel of "sexuality is fluid," and you can "fall in love with anyone" sounds ridiculous. The purpose was to encourage acceptance and people to come out, but now it's been taken as a fact. Sexuality is not fluid and you cannot fall in love with people you're not attracted.

It is entirely possible to be gay and have and enjoy sex with women, but have it not be as meaningful and emotionally fulfilling as with a man. Vice versa is true for straight men. You're not less of a gay man because you have sex with women once or twice a year, but you're also not better because you do it.

We are at a turning point in society where blanket statements are against reality and the nuances of existence. "Why do you care what I do in my bedroom?" is not a good argument now and never was in retrospect.

Because you see it everywhere in gay TV shows they have The gay male character have sex with a woman to discuss sexual fluidity.
Maybe that character is not gay?
there’s a Broadway play called "cock" with the guy from Kingsman playing a gay guy who fell in love with a woman.
that's not common but it's not out of the realm of possibility.
sex shops are selling pussy toys to gay men and gay porn they have an so-called openly gay men having sex with women.
you can by any you you want or watch any porn you like. personally i avoid any kind of gay porn where the performer, gay or not, also does straight porn.
It’s like they pushing this straight agenda onto gay men but they’re not doing that to lesbian women because if they try to do that to lesbian the lesbian women will be upset.
I have not seen that but again, i don't know much about lesbians.
they are literally try to erase the G to change it into a umbrella term. The whole queer community has a strong hatred towards gay men in a try to say they going after white gay men but they’re actually going after gay man of every race.
the problem is you can't say who "they" are. as time moves, things change. Even though I consider myself a gay man, I'm also happy to call myself a queer man because it is more inclusive of me and men like me who don't necessarily call themselves gay, but we have an attraction to men in common. Though I'm not looking for it, there is possibility that I could find myself identifying with a different label and I don't the time or mental capacity to come out all over again. Queer captures it all.
They try to maké bisexual pansexual and whatever new label they come up with popular and try to get rid of the existence of gay men who are the foundation of the LGBT community.
gay men are not the foundation of the LGBT community.
they literally using homophobia against gay men and homophobic tactics like gay men are misogynistic for not dating a woman or having sex with a woman.
I don't know which corners of the internet you frequent but this is not a prevailing attitude. unless of course a gay man is misogynistic.
The weird queer community is trying to say that game and are living in a box because they do not wanna have sex with a woman how we are living in a box and we are living outside the box of normalcy they trying to literally trying to push us back in the box pushes back in the closet
you lost the plot at weird
I thought I heard is homophobic conversion therapy rhetoric from the right wingers but now I’m hearing this same homophobic stuff from the left-wing as well this is getting freaking ridiculous
whatever it is, it can't be the same. be honest.

Part of the problem is that some porn performers do want to be seen as spokespeople for a cause and in some cases, fans want them to be seen as spokespeople even if they aren't. I don't want porn performers to be stigmatized, but we've gone too far the other way in mainstreaming sex work as the center of a gay male experience when we worry so much about how a gay porn performer who is suddenly with a woman (which is still very rare) or an ftm is going to cause some kind of conversion frenzy with their gay male followers/customers.

Many years ago, all you knew about a porn performer was lies you were fed in an interview. Now you're on social media with them all the time, you're paying them directly for their content, so your idea of what they are or what you need them to be matters more when it's going to just leave you burned in the long run. I think people would be better off just assuming a porn performer will ultimately not be what they want them to be, as the entire relationship is based on a fantasy and a lie.

Amen! I think we would all find some peace and calm if we collectively push back against this parasocial attachment and interest in these porn performers to begin with. Far too many here have placed them on some type of social pedestal that frankly they have no right being on. These are performers, not activists, not celebrities. You jack off to their content and move on with your life until the next time you whack your dick. That's it.

It shouldn't matter what they have to say about sexuality or politics or world affairs. I don't want or need to know that. Thanks!
