The purpose of me doing this very detailed log is to set the expectations straight in this forum. Japan and the Communal Baths in some hostels, capsule hotels and traditional ryokans is about as close as you will get these days.

I travel often and stay in hostels all over. Seems to me most of the time unless it is cold, the all male dorms most sleep naked. One time was in a male dorm of 10 and I think all but 3 bunks were taken, one of the teenage guys made a comment about how sleeping naked cuts down on laundry when traveling. They must have been on summer holiday because they were between 15- 19 and didn't have any issue with nudity.

It is refreshing to hang around with others naked and shower openly.

Hi, I'll go to Australia and I have reservation in hostels:
Sydney - Maze Backpackers - 4 mix dorm, but I asked with men -25.Feb.- 3.March.
Byron Bay YHA - 9 male dorm 3 -6 March,
Arlie Beach - Accomm KC's hostel - 6 boys only 11 -14 March,
Cairns Central YHA - 14 -14 March. - 6 male dorm.

May anyone go there ?
